I've been looking online for awhile now to try and find a company that will move my queen sized mattress, box spring and the frame rails from Nanaimo BC to where I am living now... in Regina SK. My dad suggested Kindersley Transport and I called them, but it turns out they're only a commercial transportation company, and the operator suggested a 'moving company'. I currently live in a busy city, Ottawa in Ontario. I've lived my whole life here but 3 months last year I lived in BC on the island in a small town called Campbell River. IT was definitely a gorgeous province and my boyfriend wants to move back there. I'm nervous that I'm not going to make friends as easily since it is such a small town. I'll be going to college although even then.. it's going to be like nothing in Ottawa. Campbell River is close to the city Nanaimo which is remotely bigger.. it's about an hour drive away. I made nanaimo bars for the first time the other day. I didn't like the filling too much. First, I didn't have custard powder, and was told it would be fine to use cornstarch instead. I am moving from Canada to California, and I need the space of a car to do this. Unfortunately, I do not own a car myself, so this only leaves the option of renting a car. But, every time I go to car rental websites, it claims that the return site is "invalid" or whatever. So now I am wondering if it is even possible, and if it is, how can I accomplish it? If it makes things easier, i could even return the car in Seattle and get another car for the rest of the trip in the US (I don't know if the close distance to the border would make a difference for the car companies). So, any help, you guys? If you know of any car companies that would do this in Nanaimo, BC, that would be amazing. I went to a pub in Nanaimo about 2 years ago. I would like to find out if it is still open but I cannot remember the name. It was located on the wharf right next to where the sea planes took off. It was directly on the water and was on top of some wooden almost stilts. I remember it having two floors and the top was the pub and the restaurant was on the ground floor. I remember there being a bill board close to downtown Nanaimo that had the name of the pub and I think a picture of a sailor. I tried to find it on google but found a place called the Lighthouse Pub which was close but no cigar. It is ridiculous how I can remember everything but the name. Out of curiosity, I'm wondering how many of you actually bake your own cookies, cakes and other baked goods? As in...you DON'T use pre-made boxes or jars or whatever. I don't know if it's just me...But everyone is getting SO lazy these days! I'm 18 and I can safely say that this generation is lazy as heck and it's sad. I love baking. Baking is my hobby. Usually, if I have nothing to do on the weekends or after school, I bake. Yeah, I'm a pretty cool teenager, I know. :P Anyway, I actually bake. I don't 'bake.' for example I was recently talking to my friend and she said she was gonna bake cookies. 'Cool!' I said, 'What kind?' 'pillsbury chocolate chip,' she said, 'You know the kind in that tube thing? The one you slice and put in the oven?' 0.o Was my reaction. That's what you call baking cookies? Baking cookies is adding flour, baking powder, sugar, eggs, choco chips...etc. Not just putting already made dough in the oven! Also, I babysit for a lady who makes delicious baked goods. Just fantastic brownies and cakes and cookies and nanaimo bars. I was just amazed at how good she could bake! She would always come over and give us cookies and other goodies. One day I was over there babysitting and I had to make her daughter dinner. I was looking through her cupboards trying to find crackers and I found boxes and boxes of cake mix, nanaimo bar mix and other pre-made mixes. Turns out she just added some water, an egg or two, mixed it and put it in the oven. No work at all...Anyone know people like this? moreResolved Question: Smooth top on Nanaimo bars?
Ok this is driving me CRAZY! lol How in the world do you make the smooth chocolate top on nanaimo bars? I went through two boxes of bakers chocolate trying to make it "pretty" and it still didn't work! It tastes the same, but I wanted the smooth top to it. I tried in a saucepan, a double boiler pan, and the microwave. Let me tell you there was lots of swearing and chocolate flying in my kitchen, lol!! Any advice is appreciated, thanks :) Awesome tip mdgor1, thanks! Sorry, but the ugly one's still taste just as good as the pretty ones, so we're still going to eat them up!! lol I have a question for The Unknown Chef...what method is the best to melt it so it's smooth and easy to pour? That's what I'm having such a hard time with, and it's very frustrating! moreResolved Question: Question About Moka Only - The Desired Effect, It's An Actual Question This Time, Not An Opinion?
Why are there like 3 versions of this album with different track listings and different covers? One of the versions is good and the others suck. I'm going to give a description of the good version, so you can help me out. Here is the track listing: 1. Once Again 2. Calling Out 3. Looking At The Ceiling 4. More Soup 5. Hundred Grand 6. Keep Moving 7. Lady Gotta Place 8. One Time 9. Beautiful (Remix) 10. Everybody Dance 11. Sitting On The Porch 12. Hold Me Close 13. Beautiful 14. Hundred Grand (Remix) 15. Nanaimo The cover of the album with this track list is a picture of Moka Only with a purple face and the background is purple. Now, the following questions refer to the version of the album that I just described: 1. What year did it come out? 2. Is this a real album which has hardcover copies of it in existence, or is it just a f*ck up on iTunes? 3. What is the name of this album? Is it actually called the Desired Effect, or is The Desired Effect a different album and this album was just mislabeled on iTunes? 4. Why are there like 2 or 3 different versions of the album? 5. Why are all the reviews for the other version/s and there are no reviews for this version? Somehow I really doubt that you are Moka Only. Mainly because Desired Effect 2 is a completely different album from any of the ones I'm talking about, and because your account was created today which gives me the impression that you created it specifically to answer this question in an attempt to trick me into giving you a best answer. Also because I doubt that a major rapper would ever use yahoo answers. Actually I went back and looked at it, and Desired Effect 2 is one of the other ones that I was talking about. I think what happened was that amazon put the wrong cover art on Desired Effect 2 and mislabeled it as Desired Effect 1. Then when I saw the actual version of Desired Effect 2 with the proper cover art but the wrong title somewhere else, I assumed that there were 3 versions of this one album. So I'm gonna assume that the one I gave the tracklist for is Desired Effect 1. But I still doubt that you are Moka Only since you created your account today, most likely a few hours ago. moreVoting Question: How can I get an interview with the twilight cast?
