Open Question: How to uninstall this?
(hikkkj) Dear Yahoo friends, I bought an USB Bluetooth adapter from ebay. It did not have a separate driver. The driver automatically got installed from the device itself. Now, I intend to uninstall the driver but its not listed on Add-Remove programme’s list. The adapter and the installed drivers did not have name while i purchased. It’s just after plugging-in the usb Bluetooth adapter my computer showed its installing driver. It never specified the location where its being saved and it’s not listen on Add remove programmes. I only have a button called ‘Bluetooth file transfer wizard’ on my start menu. I checked Device manager; there is no Bluetooth adapter driver (unless it’s under a category I don’t know). Hi. I had my internet setup and everything and then my computer screwed up. I reinstalled windows and formatted the hard drive since there was nothing on there that I needed, and then I reinstalled the software for my belkin wireless adapter, but now it isn't picking up any networks. My internet and router are fine since we get internet on every other computer, and the other computer says the adapter is working properly, but no networks will show up. I did everything with the drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and everything else. Can someone please help me? Hi, I've got a Windows 7 Ultimate PC with a 1TB hard drive. I would love to use the Bitlocker Drive Encryption built into Windows, but I'm a bit worried. I live in a hot environment and we get unexpected blackouts very commonly. I've already installed motherboard fans and a UPS to compensate. But I was wondering if something were to happen to my computer (e.g, power supply burns out, motherboard gets damaged etc) and I have to take out my SATA bitlocker encrypted drive from one pc and try to extract data from it by mounting it in another PC or 'SATA to usb adapter'...will the drive lock me out? or will it simply ask for the bitlocker encryption key and let me access the drive just as it did on my old pc? I've got a really old pc and I'm worried if I enable bitlocker and something happens to my pc and all that's left is my hard drive..i'll be locked out of my drive and lose all my data. Please, if you have any experience with bitlocker, let me know if I'll be able to use my sata drive in another pc or via a USB to SATA adapter to extract my data. 1TB is a lot of data and I just don't wanna be locked out of it just cuz of a disaster. So I upgraded to an N router and N usb adapter. TP-Link Lite router, got pretty good reviews on Newegg. Anyway, I'm about 2 floors up, steady 50-70% strength and the wireless speeds have improved significantly. The G router's tested download was around 5mbps, now it averages around 16mbps. BUT, it's horribly choppy/laggy........ if I'm playing a game, I constantly drop out every 5-10 secs, then it's fine again, then randomly drops again, then fine, soooo frustrating! I've swapped out for my old G usb, less mbps speeds, yet choppiness remains. I've reset the modem, the router, my computer, ran a TCP optimizer. I even moved the router up into the room next to me, same choppiness with 90% signal strength. (though this may be bias as the cable connection up here is quite poor...) I'm at a loss! Soooo confused... I wasn't getting any choppiness with my old G router, just general lag and constant slowness due to being so far away. I just bought an AE1000 USB wireless adapter for my mother in laws Dell C610 laptop. I installed the software and the adapter comes on and finds my network however it won't connect... I verified all the settings between the router and laptop match. SID and Password. I've re-installed the driver twice and it has made no difference. I also called LinkSys for help however they do not offer telephone support for their USB adapters.... only the routers. If somebody can help me get this thing going I'd greatly appreciate it... Every other device connected to my wireless network at home works fine. My phone, laptop and the computer directly connected to the router. For some reason my computer says its connected to the wireless network but I cant use the internet. I've tried running diagnostics, disabling and enabling the adapter, resetting my router and using a usb adapter. It worked fine up until a certain point. I thought it was because my mom leaves her laptop on farm ville all day and night but, when I turned it off it didn't help. I took apart my external hard drive, and put the drive in the sata port of my computer. Then i installed windows 7 on it. Now when i have it in the sata port, it works perfectly, but i want to boot it from the usb adapter. But when i try to boot, it forces a reboot while booting up. I recently bought an alfa USB adapter for my wireless internet access. It was fast and shows many networks in the neighborhood. However, after a couple of days it started cutting in and out all by itself every several minutes. I don't used to have this problem when I used another slower usb adapter. I try disable to WLAN connection as some suggested, but that would disconnect the connection entirely. My OS is windows 7 professional. Any suggestions? From an isolated wooded Iocation for observing black bear habits and movements, I want to control a camera connected to a weather sealed laptop, powered by a 12v car battery & 12/19V DC-DCconverter. I would like to be able to remotely connect to this laptop from my residence to run the camera for video streaming or still photos, going back and recharging the system once a week. Luckily the broadband carrier signal is good since a cell tower is on the same mountain. I have a broadband usb adapter that I already tested in the spot and it gets good coverage there. Can I possibly use Remote Desktop or maybe another software to log in & control remotely and run the system? Would remote connection work with a broadband usb adapter? Ive tried charging my iphone via the wall adapter and through a USB but neither will charge it. Please help! I have a laptop that has a usb adapter "internet search" insert to be able to pick up wireless internet. i have hooked my home comp up to a wireless router to route the wireless internet into the air. everything worked out and my laptop is hooked up to my wireless network i have in my home (the type is wap/wap2<--something like that) the only problem is that i still cant get internet! it says i am "connected to _____ network" which is what i wanted but how come when i open a new window i am still not connected?? is there a setting i am missing??
