Hi,
My Wireless card has blown and I require a new one.
I have a D-link N Router from Virgin which is the DIR-615 model,
I would like to use a Dongle instead of a PCI card. I have seen they are cheaper as well.
What is the difference between the following (for example), would I get a different performace? I have 10mg broadband.
I thought the Linksys WUSB600N looks like a quality make. Posted links to where I saw the spec and decent prices.

moreVoting Question: Internet is connected but web pages won't load?
I have installed a D-link DWA-110 wireless USB adapter to my desktop PC, which I had previously connected to my (linksys) wireless router by cable. I have used this adapter on another PC before and it worked fine. But now the wireless will connect to the linksys, however webpages don't load. I have also tried to ping the router, but no response is received. I have a feeling that the computer tries to connect first via the wired port and does not try to connect via the wireless USB adapter. I have also tried disabling the wired adapter, this makes no difference. How do I change the settings so that it does connect via this one first?
Thanks for helping me guys, I have tried the repair option, however this is not the problem, since it connects to the router. I have tried disabling my firewall (zone alarm), however this makes no difference. Windows firewall is off. And I cannot delete the connection as it si shown as a wireless connection in my connection menu. I have already disabled the other wired connection too. I'm a bit clueless now. I have a suspicion it is a tick in one of the sub sub menus somewhere that's missing.
moreResolved Question: ****Limited or no Connectivity*****URGENT please........?
I got problems with my usb netgear wireless adapter connecting to my Linksys router, I have established a connection from my lap-top to my router with cables and it works fine, but when I use my usb adapter it says " limited or no connectivity" Why that?? I have set up the WEP key with the right info but it wont work. Cant get an IP adress for the adapter, my flatmates have got the same issues with that.
Is it something to do with the router config perhaps, anybody any ideas?? Thanks....
moreVoting Question: Virgin Wireless Broadband won't connect to the Internet?
I have just recently had Virgin Wireless Broadband installed on my computer and I can't connect to the Internet. I am using a NetGear router and a Linksys USB Wireless Adapter. All the lights on the router are green and my computer is able to detect and connect to the wireless network it is creating, but I cannot access the Internet. Has anybody got any suggestions of what is wrong and how I can try and fix this?
Thanks.
moreResolved Question: How can I setup a network between 2 vista laptops, a vista computer and a xp computer?
Hi, I have wireless in both of my laptops and the vista computer is wired. My router is the Linksys WRT300N. I have got internet on all of the computers and laptops but I want to make it secure and setup file and printer sharing. When I setup WEP security for wireless then the internet worked on the wired vista computer and on both the vista laptops. I could also access the files and printers on each other of these. But not for the xp, for which I have an Belkin F5D8053 USB Adapter. On this, I couldn't connect to the internet or do file and printer sharing. I think that I got a connection for about a minute when I was playing about with it but it went away again.
Also when I don't have the security then all the computers can connect together.
My printers are connected to my xp computer and one of my vista laptops
Thanks Very Much
moreResolved Question: Problem with wireless internet and the router.?
I use a Linksys Wireless-G USB wireless adapter that normally works perfectly but lately I've been having connection problems. Sometimes the adapter will connect to the hub and an icon will come up indicating "Local only", other times the adapter will connect to the hub and internet with no problems and on other occasions the Wireless adapter will need to be reinstalled altogether and the BT hub will need to be restarted. The computer is situated around 8 metres fom the hub and the signal level is variable but is good most of the time. It also seems to crap out at certain times of the day, usually in the evening. It's weird I know, also the computer shows a bubble icon sometimes saying check LAN rules but I don't know how to do that or even open the system that allows you to check it. It's really irritating because it does all this stuff when I need it the very most.
Could it be a problem with the computer's firewall?

My home network is quite simple. My NTL cable modem is connected to a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router. One PC running Win98SE is directly connected to the router using a network cable. In another room I have a PC running WinXP SP2, which has a Linksys WUSB54GS wireless adapter connected to a USB port.
