Voting Question: Advice on what to do with my sister....?

We're four years apart, I'm 16 and she's 20. We usually get around really well and everything, but lately she's been SUCH a b*tch to me. She constantly calls me disgusting for whatever I eat and when I ask our mother to get a certain snack for me, and I eat all of it she flips out and says that's "gross" and that it wasn't "my food" but if I EVER ate someone our mom got for her it'd be a HUGE problem. That's how it is for a LOT of things lately. I don't wear her clothes EVER, but she ALWAYS goes in my room and steals my shirts and stuff, and then I'll finally find them weeks later with holes in them and she'll be like "they were there already" when they weren't. She also comes in my room and steals my movies and books (which I buy ALL of them with my OWN money) And won't put them back in my room, or won't put the disk back in the case, or won't put them back how she found them or if the movie has that extra cardboard sleeve on it the sleeve will go missing or get ripped or bent. With my books, they'll come back with pages bent, ripped, stained and the cover will be all bent and ruined. I try to keep my stuff in a nice condition because I worked hard for the money that I bought them with. My bestfriend invited my sister to her sweet 16, but how we've been fighting so much lately I DON'T want her to come, and my friend is just like "No I want her to come, just don't talk to her." But I KNOW she'll go even if we're fighting to spite me. Also, the last time she was at one of my friend's sweet sixteens, she was on my a*s the whole time and wouldn't leave me alone. I know this all sounds really immature but I don't know what to do about her. We're going on vacation in two days to visit my aunt in Florida, and I know if I go I won't have fun while we're fighting, and if she doesn't go (because of work) then I don't want to, cause as much fun as hanging out with my mom and my aunt is...there's not much I can do alone, going to the beach or the pool without someone to hang out with you isn't very fun. I'm sorry it's so long! I do try to talk to her about it but she just says I'm immature and it isn't a big deal when she does this sh*t.  more

Salam. For work, we have a special promotional day and for that they have given us printed t-shirts to wear. Unfortunately, it is short sleeved but fortunately the length is fine(I mean its long enough to cover). How should i wear it so that its still islamically correct? I could wear a long sleeved top underneath it but then it looks silly. Hey all =) I have two Muslim friends, who are twins/sisters, and they're both getting married, and it's a double Muslim wedding, and I'm completely at lost as to what a girl (19) has to wear to a Muslim wedding?? I've never been to one, so this is my very first one, and I know it's gotta be different to a usual normal wedding. It is, isn't it?? And could I just wear a longsleeved neat/tidy shirt with a turtleneck, and some clean, comfortable trousers (like those black school trousers)....? I'm in college and doing work experience at my old primary school next week. I have everything sorted other than clothes. I obviously have the staple items, black pants, leggings etc. but I am concerned on how I'm going to make 5 outfits out of what I have got. So, I already have planned that I will wear black trousers with a red and white stripey t-shirt with fancy sleeves for my first day. Hey. I'm from UK and I'm going to Egypt in September this year (2010) for 11 days. (8hr flight, geez!). I'll be staying in Sharm El Sheik. Hopefully i'll be getting an excursion to Cairo & Luxor too. And my holiday is an all-inclusive. And i was wondering what kind of clothes do you wear when visiting the pyramids? etc. But i've just read some Yahoo Answers there, where it says you cant wear too revealing clothes, etc! I've got like 9 vest tops in my suitcase and about 5 bikinis! Not one t-shirt, or a set of trousers are packed! Soo, is this true, should u wear long shorts, jeans, trousers, long sleeved tops to the desert? And whats the best kind of shoes to wear? trainers, flat sandles, pumps? Also, does anyone know the best way to book an excursion deal? Should it be with a travel agent? Or online? I found a great one online. But i'm a little paranoid about booking things online. I've been told Egyptians like UK money. So if i ever need to tip, should i tip with £'s or their own kind of money? And how much spending money should i take, if i'm not planning to go out of hotel much (keeping in mind the holiday is all-inclusive)? Voting Question: Very bad stretch marks please help!?

Ok, i am male, 17, 14 stone, 6ft tall, naturally big built, have a healthy diet and do a lot of fitness. I get the big build from my Dad who is more muscle bound then fat. My BMI is 25 so im just under over weight. Iv had my confidence completly shattered but i wasen't very confident anyway, i have very very bad stretch marks on the top of my thighs, my upper arms on the inside and underneath and also on the sides of my lower torso, the ones of my thighs are a light purple colour, on my arms are a deep purple and on the side are dark red, they are really bad, they have been there a year now, i know somthings not right because they are only suppost to be there for a few months. Its gotten to the point where i do all my fitness at home because nobody can see them there apart from my mum and she says they are really bad, when i do go out i always wear a jacket even inside because i have no long sleeve shirts, they are so embarasing that iv dropped out of college just so people wont see them. Iv tried all sort to get rid, coco butter moisturiser for stretch marks, normal moisturiser (various), vics, sudocrem and nothing worked, the doctor said that he could give me pill that basicly make me shit myself thin but he said he wouldn't give them unless i think i need them.....should i get them? Oh by the way, the marks i have are much worse then any marks iv seen on pregnent women.  more

Hiya I start work at a Primark store soon and I am told that I have to wear the following as the standard female uniform: Black blouse Black trousers/skirt Black socks/natural tights Flat black shoes The one thing that is puzzling me is what type of blouse? Can it be a t-shirt type or a button long/short sleeved shirt-type blouse? Or can it be a flimsy frilly style? Because let's face it, the word "blouse" has more than one meaning. Resolved Question: I feel like I am being discriminated by my workplace, what should I do?

I have worked for Asda for around 2 years, and since a new store manager has stepped in I feel as though I am being pushed away from my job. In the last few months the managers have made it increasingly difficult for me to work there and I am unsure of what to do. A few examples of what they have been saying/doing to me: I am not allowed to have any tattoos on show. My tattoo that is on show (On my forearm) is in no way offensive, it is a band logo. Also several other collegues have tattoos on show. However, they say I must wear a long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled down at all times even in hot weather. This rule for some reason does not apply to collegues who have worked there longer or have different tattoos. In the winter just gone I asked if I was allowed to wear a plain black cardigan as I had not been issued with an Asda fleece/Body warmer in the 2 years I have been there. They firstly said yes, then the next day I wore it (Name badge still clearly on show as required) they told me they had changed their minds, I couldn't wear it and they would get my fleece. They failed to do this and I still haven't recieved one. I have also been referred to as "Rocker Boy", a statement made was "Make sure rocker boy does his work tonight". Another statement made towards me also confused me. The manager asked if I was tired and needed sleep, I said "Yes, I didn't get much sleep last night". She replied "Maybe you should go to bed early tonight, on your own for once". I don't know whether this was meant as a dig towards my choice of music and lifestyle (I like rock music and go out a lot). These are just a few examples of what has been said to me, is this classed as genuine discrimination? I just feel that every time I go into work, they have a new fault to pick with me. On nearly every Monday I work I am willing to stay an extra 15 minutes or so to ensure the work is done, regardless of the fact I have to get up for college at 7 30 the next morning. However, sometimes they will refuse to let me go until as late as 9 45, where as another collegue will be allowed to go as he has a train to catch. Is this also acceptable in the workplace? What is best to wear this time of year? I'm meeting friends at pub for drinks then heading into town for the bars and clubs. I only have long sleeve shirts but was worried that I should be wearing short sleeve shirt as it is pretty warm outside. I was thinking long sleeve shirt, jeans, casual type shoes. What do most mean wear short or long sleeve? I don't really want to go out now and buy a short sleeve shirt, but I will if it means looking out of place wearing long sleeves. Advice? I usually avoid rolling sleeves because a) I'm not sure if I'm rolling them correctly! b) They seems to fall down after a while.. I agree it's a good look though. How far do I roll? I am a 16 year old male and am VERY hairy. I have very dark thick black hair on my arms and legs and I have pretty much now have had enough. When I was like 13 I shaved both my arms and my legs and have rue'd that day since. Now the hair is very hairy and it is also now summer here in London. I will be attending a party at thorpe park next month and DO NOT want to be there in a long sleeve top whilst everybody else is wearing a t-shirt and shorts. I have done ALOT of research and have decided to do the following, please tell me if you think this will work. I am thinking of bleaching my arm and leg hair and then trimming it slightly. I have heard that bleach can turn your hair brown instead of blonde at times if your hair is too dark or not left on for too long, I don't mind this as it would look more natural. Will this work? I want to know the name and the name of the artist of a certain picture.. so here's the description of it: There are two people sitting in an apartment; on the left side of the picture is a girl with very pale skin, short, black or at least dark hair, and she wears a red dress without sleeves (I think she plays on the piano, and her face isn't visible, as she sits with her back to the viewer); on the left side of the picture is a man with a gray suit (or at least gray vest and gray suit pants), white long-sleeved shirt who sits in a (arm)chair (and reads a newspaper while smoking a cigar?). The (living) room (or office?) is furnished with a dark brown desk and some sofas. Furthermore there are one or two windows of which at least one is opened (and the smoke of the cigar rises outside through it). As seen through the windows there a several other buildings (and it is night/evening?). The painting is set in the time around the 30's/40's (+/-10years), and it looks similar to the paintings of Edward Hopper. Voting Question: (Male) What should I wear with light denim skinny jeans?

Just realised after buying these that I have no idea what you're supposed to wear with light jeans. The first things that come to mind are either bright, deep colours or light neutral stuff. But I'm uncertain, as I've never really worn light jeans before. I have a turquoise-green and white checked long sleeve shirt which might work. Is that a good idea? With my dark jeans I usually wear a white belt, but I imagine that wouldn't work with these. What kind of belt and/or other accessories should I use with them? Would they look bad with the black and white converse I usually wear?  more

Hello, I am travelling with a friend to the Tunisian resort of Sousse next week and we are looking into visiting a few of the nightclubs whilst on our trip. However, I am unsure what the actual dress code would be for the nightclubs - with Tunisia being a Muslim country would a t-shirt/short sleeved shirt be acceptable (with it showing off skin), or would it be preferable to take a long sleeved shirt? I saw this great top in a store but 1) they didn't have it in my size and 2) it was about £90. I've never seen anything like it before but it was dead cool. It says 'smart casual'. I don't want to buy anything new unless I really need too. I have some straight blue jeans, a pair of dark corduroy trousers (don't judge) and obviously black smart school trousers. Then I have 2 long sleeved checkered shirts and a couple of polo shirts and then a load of T-Shirts. Okay, my school has a non-school uniform day tomorrow, to raise munnies for Haiti and the theme is CAREERS My brother said that I can borrow his Vash (Trigun) Cosplay, but I get the terrible feeling it won't fit me. So, if it doesn't fit me wtf should I do? I don't really have anything except a toy gun, some pirate things, a black wig, a kimono (but I probably won't wear it because it was expensive, a birthday present and is only for special occasions) and thats it really. Power at dusk… 2?? I screamed as blood splattered my face. The sword blade came through the persons back dripping with blood, than slid out again. The body strained my chest as it fell on top of me. Still screaming I quickly pushed the body off me and tried to stand up. Then something hit me hard in the stomach. I cried out in pain. I looked up and saw… I woke up gasping for breath and sweating all over. I looked at the time, just past midnight. Shadow was snoring softly in her bed on the other side of the room. I opened the window and stuck my head out. I smiled as it cooled my sweaty face. I stayed there for a while looking up at the starry sky and the city lights in the distance. I could hear the cars beeping which was a revealing sound. Two weeks, I thought. Two weeks since I woke up here unable to move my limbs without crying in pain. Those two weeks were difficult, my life has changed so much. I have something that I never even knew existed. And with that I have a new life. New school, new responsibilities, new friends. Shadow mumbled something in her sleep. She was probably getting cold, so I shut the window and crawled back under the covers. I looked at my new roommate and friend and the person responsible for saving my life. Yeah! Cool, right? Saving someone’s life. But that’s what happens when you have a gift. You have been given it for a reason, for a purpose. To save lives. And that’s what Shadow did for me. Even though her life was at risk. Going up against a group of demons alone was very dangerous. But she did it anyway and I didn’t even know who she was. I touched the mark that was left from the demons bite just beside my shoulder. There’s still a faint sting when I touch it. A demons bite is lethal. If you don’t treat it soon, the venom spreads through your body and then you yourself will turn into one. I shuddered from the thought of that day. I will never forget it. The look of the eyes as red as blood. The hunger and hatred in them. I shuddered again. Stop thinking about it! My mind said. Or you’ll give yourself more nightmares. So I tried to think of the morning. Am starting my classes. And I’m feeling both excited and nervous. A normal high school was hard enough. Never mind a high school full of people with super abilities. “Come on Faith” I heard shadow say. I groaned. “Come on Faith, up NOW!” She pulled the sheets off me and started shaking me. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. “Hurry up, you have less than fifteen minutes. I forgot to set the alarm clock.” she threw my clothes at me. I quickly got changed. The good thing about this place was that we didn’t have to wear uniform. No more big, itchy jumpers and long shirts that make you look like a nun. So I put on my dark blue jeans and my pink Nike hoodie. I quickly splashed water on my face and brushed my teeth. I then did my makeup. I just did it lightly, foundation and mascara with a bit of pink blusher. Since I didn’t have much time I tied my hair up softly. I got my bag and grabbed a bottle of water from the small fridge. “okay I’m ready” I said. “yeah, hold on a sec.” shadow said putting on her black converses. She stood up. “I look okay?” she asked jumping up and twirling. She was wearing a long sleeved black and white stripy dress with a black waist coat and black tights. “yeah, you look lovely” I said. “I’m not suppose to look lovely” she said picking up her bag and opening the door. “I’m suppose to look cool or awesome”. I smiled. Shadow is what you might call the rocker type. She loves horror movies, and listens to all the rock type bands like paramore and MCR. “yeah I was only messing” I said bumping into her as we walked swiftly down the stairs and out of the building. We crossed the court over to the school in a hurry. “what room you in?” she asked. I took out my timetable from my pocket, “room 20” I replied. “Okay.” we were in the hall now. There were three empty halls, one in front of us, one to the left and one to the right. Each hall had posters, pictures and plagues. I glanced at one of the pictures on the wall beside me. It was from the newspaper. ‘Miracle; Mother and young baby saved in fire.’ Under it there was another picture with a similar heading. I didn’t get a chance to read it as Shadow pulled my arm. She pointed to the hall on the right with her timetable in her hand. “you go that way” she said. “it’s the fifth room.” She turned towards the hall on the left. “wait! Your not in the same class as me.” I asked. I didn’t want to go to a class where I didn’t know anyone. “well not in this one, I don’t do French, I do ???. Sorry. But don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” she said slapping my arm softly. “good luck” she said and walked off. I turned and walked to my class at normal pace. I reached the room and looked through the window. The teacher was standing up at the top of the classroom reading out words in French and the class repeating them. Arghh  more

"Hey, Ladybird!" I glanced past Antonio to see a familiar face waltzing through the door, setting off the old fashioned bell, and eagerly strolling towards our usual seat. I quickly let go of Antonio and quietly apologized in advance. “Hey, you.” I jumped up, threw my arms around Oliver’s neck and pecked him on the cheek. “Where’s Benji?” Oliver searched the small room for our favorite waiter, as disappointed as I was that he wasn’t around. “He’s taken a leave of absence, apparently. I was just talking to Antonio about it.” I said, nodding in his direction. “Antonio, huh? Well, it’s great to meet you. Do you mind getting me a cappuccino? I’m guessing that’s your job, seeing as Benji isn’t here.” I lightly pulled at his jacket, a way of me telling him to back down and give the guy a break. Oliver had a habit of being a little overprotective. I then informed him that I already got him his drink, and we sat on the comfortable brown leather sofa. He slipped his jacket off and folded it neatly over the back of the seat, then grabbed the drink he had obviously been craving. Taking a long sip, he sighed heartily but kept a critical eye on Antonio as he made his way back over to the counter. “You’re wearing my favorite blue shirt.” I told him as I lightly touched his soft cotton sleeve, distracting him as much as possible. “I know. I wore it especially for you.” He paused, and a nostalgic smile spread across his lips. * * * Flicking the match against the trunk of the tree, it crackled as it ignited and I quickly stepped over to the candle on the plant pot. I kicked off my beautifully expensive heels and hoisted up my dress to lie across the worn wooden swing seat. The sun had already set, but a few rays had struggled over the horizon and still faintly lit the sky in a romantic haze. A slight push set the swing in motion, and it rocked in the cool summer breeze. The smell of freshly cut grass soothed me, as did the soft hoot of an owl. Apart from that, I was alone with my thoughts. It was a good half an hour of me being left to daydream and regret the past evening before I heard the back door swing open and close again. It was going to be one of two people. And only one I wanted to see right now. “Hey, Ladybird? Are you there?” The voice was not the one I wanted to hear. He casually approached me, parting the willow branches that separated us. He was still dressed in his prom outfit too. A light grey blazer, matching tailored trousers and a duck egg blue shirt; not quite the usual colors to wear. I hated to admit it, though, but he looked damn good. And he knew it. “I’m still not talking to you.” I proclaimed. “Well, you followed that up well.” He smirked, coolly placing his hands deep in his pockets. “I’m still mad at you.” I spat. “I gathered. Can I sit down?” he asked. “No.” “I’ll sit on you, then.” “No!” Reluctantly, I lifted my head to let him sit so that I could use him as a cushion. He kicked his shoes off, and they landed right by mine. We swayed for a while in thoughtful silence. After a while, Oliver sifted his hands through my curled hair and stroked the back of my perfumed neck. “I think we both screwed up tonight, huh?” he announced. “You did more than me. What were you trying to do? Make me jealous?” I snapped. “Did it work?” he asked. “We said we would go together. We’d said that was how it was going to be, remember?" I stopped, unsure of how to make myself sound less clingy, less desperate for his attention. “I only went with Jason because I saw you with Daisy.” I mumbled “I was just talking to her about that stupid science project!” He retaliated. “Well I didn’t know that, did I? Because you weren’t talking to me and you hated Jason so much, it felt like you were beginning to hate me too.” “I could never hate you. You know that. You irritate the hell out of me sometimes, but I haven't and won't ever hate you.” He sighed again, and continued to fiddle with my hair. I wiped a single droplet of fluid that had built in the corner of my eye and was in danger of cascading down my cheek. It was a silly defence mechanism - crying when I got worked up. At least I thought it was because I was mad. “Grace,” he began, “Yeah? “I’m sorry.” “Me too.” I replied. I softly caressed his knee and closed my eyes. “You look good, by the way.” I mentioned, hoping an ego boost on his behalf would resolve things. “You don’t look too bad yourself.” he chuckled. Ok, so I'm going shopping on Saturday at my local shopping center but in about 2 weeks time I'm going to Bedford to do some shopping in Primark. hi, i have wide hips: 36 inches my height: 5'9 and a half weight: about 132 pounds / 9.4something stone my hip bones are quite big and i don't really have fat on them its just the size of the bones that are so big looking, they look okay when i wear a dress ,but when i wear jeans they just pop out so much, like the top part doesn't match the bottom part of my body it looks like I'm cut in half or something or fat looking because of my hips(my jeans button up in the middle hip area) and they are bootcut jeans. maybe it could be the shirts I'm wearing that make it look like that? is there a color shirt you would recommend or a type of shirt that you could recommend that would help me look like i have a softer figure instead of a sharp jagged one.. i usually wear black shirts with long sleeves. thanks.. any mean remarks or spam will be reported.  more
