I know that RFID can and has been used for asset and inventory tracking, which tells which items are in inventory and which items are out of inventory. Is it possible for RFID to show how far away these items are, or their relative location - such use like location based positioning?
An example of this is the "Loc8ter" . Does anyone know how to do something like this? Except for personal use, and with smaller tags - closer locations?

The testimony of a woman who claimed she was part of a military drill in California centered around setting up roadblocks to check if people had received the H1N1 vaccine has potentially been validated with another report of a swine flu checkpoint near San Diego.
Earlier this month we reported http://www.prisonplanet.com/police-and-military-train-to-intern-swine-flu-vaccine-refusniks.html) on the You Tube video of a woman who claimed to have taken part in an Army exercise which involved setting up roadblocks and checkpoints so authorities could check who has received the swine flu vaccine. Those who have had the shots will be fitted with an RFID bracelet so they can be tracked. Those who have not taken the shot will be offered it there and then and if they still refuse, will be carted off to an internment camp, according to the woman.
Former Kansas state trooper Greg Evensen spoke of similar checkpoints recently, when he told an audience in West Virginia that preparations to enforce mandated vaccinations were being focused around preventing those who haven’t had the shot from traveling.
“I have been told by state troopers across the country that there are plans ready to be implemented that would include roadblocks and choke points as we call them, major interstate junctions around major cities and so forth where the greatest number of people can be held until they prove their vaccination by papers,” Evenson said, adding that permanent RFID bracelets would then be used to identify those who had taken the shot.
“I have been told that the plans would include buses standing by for people at roadblocks that refuse to take the inoculation,” added Evenson, saying that such refusniks would then be taken to military bases and imprisoned.
“Get your shot or get on the bus, that’s what’s coming,” warned Evenson.
Authorities in Boston have already trialed RFID bracelet technology, with the purpose of creating a “vaccination map” charting which people have taken the vaccine and which have not, or “creating a citywide registry of everyone who has had a flu vaccination,” as a Boston Globe article describes. http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2008/11/21/boston_launches_flu_shot_tracking/Participants were given a bracelet with a unique identifier code, exactly as described in the You Tube clip of the woman’s testimony.
We have now received yet another report of a roadblock staffed by armed military personnel centered around checking whether people have received vaccines.
A reader e mailed us a photo (see top of page) and the testimony of his friend who was traveling from California to Arizona after visiting friends. The man was driving through mountains east of San Diego when he came across a roadblock.
“As I neared the border they had a checkpoint set up but not the usual stateline checkpoint,” he writes.
“As I approached I noticed armed military personnel had most of the cars pulled over and there were a lot of people going in and out of a mobile trailer. The people looked confused and some upset. Seeing what was going on made me really nervous,” the man adds.
He was then approached by a women in military fatigues who asked him where he was driving and “something about a vaccination.”
“I got scared and told her I was a state geologist doing field research and because
I was doing so much driving back and forth I had my vaccine on campus. She didn’t say anything for a few seconds and then the car behind me started honking and she got pissed and waved me on. I was so scared!,” he concludes.

Now they are available for implant into the human body.
Do you think it is possible that at some time in the future everyone on the planet would be required to have this chip in their body to do business.
I am not a nut case but I have read the bible a lot of times.
It seems strange to me that John on the isle of Patmos when he wrote the book of revelation could be so close to truth.
It is feasable and probable that all trade would be conducted or at least enabled by such a chip and turning it off would prevent you from being able to function in society.

This is my essay on government surveillance:
As technology grows better and faster life in general is becoming more controlled. How? Go to a stoplight and you’ll see cameras. Go to any store and you’ll see cameras. Even on public buses and gasoline stations there are cameras. Google you or your parents’ names on the Internet and something is bound to come up. The government can, with a legal warrant, go into your house and search your computer or anything else. Use your credit card and they can locate you instantly for whatever reason. Even cell phones have become a tracking device.
So ask your self, why all the cameras? Why all the suspicious surveillance? It is true that for the most part surveillance has increased because of terrorism and the rise in crime. The government cannot let any suspicious person or matter get past them for the fear of anther 9/11 attack, but what if there’s another side to this? I am not saying that government is trying to slowly turn us into robots. I do not believe that and hopefully it is not true, but investing 50 million dollars in cameras for student surveillance in schools is a little absurd. So why did the government do it? I just happen to go to the best high school in Petaluma, California, with the best well-behaved kids and there are no cameras here. Can someone be trying to slowly take away our freedom? I do not know, but I know that this is not all because of terrorism.

Police using technology to enforce laws is a lot different than using technology to “monitor a population”. There is also this microchip called the RFID tag, which is a tiny microchip, inserted into animals just in case they get lost. Your pet might have one of these. Biologists use these as tracking devices for animals and to monitor their behaviors. It would not surprise me (and the government has talked about it) if a human were the next one to have this chip inserted into their body.
So in a sense the government is trying to control us or take away our freedom. We are not terrorists we are U.S. citizens. Some people might say that all this surveillance and monitoring is just for the safety of everyone but I for one feel uncomfortable about it. Maybe no one is really trying to take away our freedom but what if in the future things take a drastic turn and with the snap of a finger just control all our lives? I alone cannot change this situation but I know there are others with me who believe the same thing and all of us together can change it.

A separate election law could be enacted so the constituency could both vote out & into office tracking personnel every two years.
Elected government officials would answer to this citizen board about their travels as well as their daily local work schedule AND timetable but nothing else. Violations on the elected officials schedules, timetables & UNAUTHORIZED travels set by the constituency & ENFORCED by the citizens oversight & regulation board would be immediately investigated AND reported to the constituency. The constituency would then JUDGE the case on their own merits & either fire or retain the elected official by popular vote.

Either inserted into humans (has been & is being done) but also on passports and drivers licenses...REAL ID ... is the same technology as in RFID chips but the whole idea of being tracked is wrong...no matter how they do it. It has too much opportunity to be misused and there is no doubt that would happen....already is.
It is being spun as helpful and I can see why one might think...'yea...sounds good' but it opens a whole can of worms that obliterates any good that may or may not have been originally intended.
