The t.v. network abcFamily made an "abcFamily original movie" as a prequel to "The Dukes of Hazard." This "family" network produced this movie which contains SO MUCH sexual content and references that it disgusted even my boyfriend and I, 20 and 23 year olds who are surrounded by this stuff everyday! The boys are constantly at and older woman's house and are offered sex blatantly on numerous occassions. There is even a point where the brothers are close to being arrested and they're told that they should watch out because the cops will come at them from behind and they won't expect it, to which the boys reply, "Kinky." I tryed to watch this movie...And was very upset that it in no way reflected the brotherly love shared between Bo and Luke or the respect that everyone shared despite their differences... Anyone else feel angry that they had butchered our old school show? And who in the hell thought that Jessica Simpson could ever be a Daisy Duke? Jessican didn't even know that "chicken of the sea" was really tuna and thought it was sea chicken... I mean come the hell on.!.!.!.! Daisy was SMART and sexy. In fact it was her smarts that made her so attractive to me more than her ass. I always felt good after a good Dukes show.. Watching the remake I just felt cheap and trashy. Dukes of Hazards was a huge show in the 80's 1996 they do a reunion movie.,.. great tv movie 1998 or so they do a second reunion movie.. this one was cool because it put the dukes in the middle of Hollywood. now 8 years later i was talking to a friend and we both love the movies and show. and i said, how great it would be for a new reunion movie. well he told me, that when some idiot decided to make it into a movie (part of this i knew), the original cast took 1 look at the script and refused to take any part in it. In fact, the original Cooter told people (on tv) not to go see it, it was so bad. Now he tells me that because of the terrible movie, they refuse to ever do another tv movie.
