Hi All, This question is a long shot... But it's bugging me and wonder if anyone would like to take a stab at it. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. I really liked the song but could never remember the name or artist of the song. This song was release in mid 2000s and a few years later was released by another artist. The original version was by an indie act - male vocal, the later version was more of a rap flavour (male) with a female vocal doing the chorus. I use to watch the music video on a free music channel, adore the mellow song, it had the word dream in it. The video was vibrant, vivid colour, mix of cg and live acting. If anyone would be interested in singing about 10 tracks over time I've wrote the lyrics for. I use instrumental production music from online and write some lyrics for it. The music is mainly 80s style pop/dance sounding tracks. I could send the lyrics/music to you, you could record the vocals and send them back and i'll mix the vocals with the music and send them back to you. Eventually there would an album of 10 tracks which would be something nice to have. This would be done online only. I'm not a professional musician by any means but this is just one of my hobbies. I don't make money from this, I ain't selling them, this is just a project for fun really. In the end I can make an album cover, booklet etc with the 10 tracks. So I love music. And I've tried writing my own songs, but I never finish them. I get distracted and I get other peoples songs in my head, and it makes me want to use them because they're really good, but personally I can't stand using other peoples lyrics in my songs. Though I am only 13, but I still would really love some help and advice on this. I'm not sure how good I am at poetry, I think I would be pretty bad if I tried. So please, if you have any advice or tips, will you share them with me? Like how to keep focused and clear my mind. Also I have trouble with finding ideas and inspiration for my songs. My listening style is pretty mixed, like I LOVE Green Day, The Blackout, Muse and You Me At Six, but I also love Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez (and The Scene :P), Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson. Please help me :) Also I know how to play the guitar :) Oh and I also play the clarinet, and I know how to play the keyboard. Basically, was on holiday in Greece and the only channel with English on it was MTV.de. Between programmes and music videos, there was a little MTV filler, where there were short clips of tribal looking people dancing around to the music, and then it cut to animals bobbing up and down in time with the music. Some of the lyrics I picked up were along the lines of "I'll give you what you want, I'll give you what you" and "bang bang bang bang bang". It wasn't a singy-song, more electro/dance. Since iI was young I've always wanted to sing and I've always wanted to sing in my school chior I got the chance to sing for my choir at 3rd grade I was the first third grader to ever get a solo from 3-5 grade I managed to maintain the record of most solos in that school from there on I went to middle school and took a class in acting and singing since i loved singing I did well loved it from that on I went to highschool and started working in a bigger stage I tryed out for my schools play grease and got the main singing roll kenicke in the school version he has more parts then danny. I'm thinking about up until ipods and the like came about,and downloading singles instead of going out and buying them.Many years ago when radio was popular,everyone listened to the latest music on one of them,and watched the bands perform on their black and white tv's.In the 1950's-60's young people used to have little transister radios,they'd take out with them to listen to the latest songs.Vinyl records were the thing to buy,and you'd go out to independant record shops to buy them.There'd be record shops all over the place.In the 1980's Walkmans were popular,they were basicly a mini cassette player you'd take around with you,with ear phones.Cassettes were as popular as the vinyl records then,and it was always a pleasure to go out to the music store to buy your favourite single or Album to add to your collection.Later CD's became popular,and you could get those mini CD players with earphones.Gradually cassettes were fazed out,then Vinyl (i don't know why). Nowadays young people tend to just download their favourite songs and add them to their ipods/mp3 to listen to.Its quick and easy,but its like just having it there on a plate,not actually making much of an effort to acquire that piece of music.What happened to the times when you could buy your favourite records,play them with your mates,lend them to your mates,admire the covers,check out the lyrics on the sleeves.Like i say,i feel people appreciated popular music more before,but i don't think they do as much today.Or am i wrong? moreVoting Question: any good music lyrics?

Have you seen both of there latest music videos. That's not for kids and parents let them watch Lady gaga and Miley Cyrus and all that. The real question is why are there so many shit artists like Justin Bieber and Lil wayne and Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers and all this new shit that's coming out that has the same lyrics which is about love and partying and relationships and all that same shit when you got real artists out there who lyrics are not about love but about the world problems, and lots of people say that kids don't want to hear that but why is some of the greatest songs ever in the history of music not about love. John Lennon - Imagine, Bob Dylan - Blowin in the wind, Led zeppelin - Stairway to heaven, and so on are classed as some of the greatest songs ever and they are not love songs. Sorry if this is a poor description. But I'm trying to find this song and it's driving me mad. It has been in the charts (I think) recently. It's got an accordion in it which plays this Irish Jig style music. Quite a catchy tune. The whole song has a club vibe to it. Electronic sounds, and a chilled out singing style which repeats really. The main accordion bit repeats a lot during the song. The vocals weren't clear enough to make out any lyrics. Hope someone can help. I think the song was pretty popular.
