Kona Hotels Questions and Answers
Resolved Question: Looking for a cheap hotel near Waikoloa?
Is there any cheap hotels located near Hilton Waikoloa Village in Kona, Hawaii? Note that the Hilton Waikoloa Village is actually not in Waikoloa. moreResolved Question: One night on Oahu with van to airport?
We are treating my Austrian cousins to a vacation in Hawaii this summer. They will be taking an around-the-world flight, meaning they will fly west from Austria to Hawaii and then west to Tokyo and back to Austria. We will all be flying from Kona to Honolulu the morning of our last day, and my husband and I will be returning to California. My cousin and his wife will need to stay until the next morning to catch an early flight to Tokyo. I need to get them a reservation at a hotel/motel that has van service to the airport and a place to eat either at or next to the lodging. It doesn't need to be fancy -- we are spending two weeks at very nice places, so this is just for a convenient way of getting to the airport in the morning without a car. Please give me your best suggestion! moreResolved Question: FRIENDS I AM GOING TO Howrah?

Umm a house rental would be the best option as opposed to the hotel plz leave me a link and some info thnx. moreResolved Question: What is a Hawaii hotel with villas/bungalows on the beach?
Alright experienced travelers...I'm honeymooning in July and we really want to stay in a villa/bungalow on the beach. Overwater bungalow would be amazing... but pricey! Does anyone know of any resorts/hotels that have bungalows on the beach in Hawaii? BESIDES Kona Village Resort (been there several times) and The Mauna Lani Bay (out of our price range). We don't want a vacation rental. We would love somewhere all inclusive, too, if possible. Hawaii is not by any means a must, we've just had a hard time finding places with affordable airfare! But if you know of anywhere besides Hawaii that fits the bill, please share!! Our budget is 4500 for 7-10 nights including accomodation, airfare and hopefully meals. Any help?! moreResolved Question: Anyone have any travel ideas for August?
Ok, so I got suckered (kinda) into a timeshare with RCI. I can stay in Cancun, Cabo, or Domincan Republic for 3 weeks out of the year (for 26 years).... but I also get points with RCI for extra vacations. It's a pretty good deal, but I am having trouble on deciding where to go. My girlfriend and some other friends are in college, so they can only go on vacation around mid December/ January. Or in July and August. I want a place to go with my friends. None of us have very much money, but essentially the hotel would be paid for by me, so the only thing we have to worry about is airfare... Europe is probably out of the question for now... although I would like to go back some day. We are from the San Francisco area if that helps anyone. I'm tired of San Francisco, L.A. and Las Vegas. Personally, I like relaxing vacations, like staying at a resort.... When I type in Hawaii, I can only find places to stay at Kapaa, Kailua-Kona, Koloa, Lihue, and Princeville. I've never been to Hawaii, so I don't know if any of these places are worth going to.... or where the better areas are. moreResolved Question: Is it worth paying $200-$300 extra for a volcano helicopter tour from the Kona area to avoid driving to Hilo?
My father and I are thinking about visiting Hawaii's Big Island in May. We'd be staying in the Kailua-Kona area, and we'd prefer to not spend 3 hours driving to the other side of the island, especially since there aren't any hotels in the Hilo area that really appeal to us. However, we definitely want to see the famous volcanoes. Has anyone been on one of the helicopter tours that depart from the west side of the island and fly to the volcanoes? Did you feel it was worth the extra money to avoid driving to Hilo? Any advice or sharing of experiences would be much appreciated. Thanks! moreResolved Question: Hawaii, which island, what time of the year?
my wife and I after 11 years have decided to take a trip with our 2 boys ages 6 and 9 to Hawaii for two weeks. I really want my family to have a blast...god knows when the next time will be....lol...We hate noisy places, traffic and all that...eg. I have checked into places, but so far, no one has given me any advice or responded to how I can arrange this. Any suggestions? We aren't staying in a hotel, we are staying in a private condo up in the hills. moreResolved Question: Which hotel am I thinking of in Kona Hawaii?

My wife and I want to take off about 5 days in early May. Is there an area on Kauai where there are decent hotels on the beach, and where there will not be too much rain? Also, if we rent a car, we want to be within a couple hours' drive from good hiking. Or should we just bag Kauai and go to the Kona coast on the Big Island instead, where we know we like it? moreResolved Question: Do you think a 16 hour flight is TOO MUCH for a 3 and 4.5 year old?
DH has been saving airline and hotel points for 2 years now and we have enough to fly from NY to Hawaii...the trip of a lifetime (well, for us it is). We would still have to buy food and incidentals but it is still pretty darn cheap for us to go to Hawaii (Kona). My biggest concern is the 16 hour+ flight to and from. Now we would say for a week and a half...but do you think that is too much for a 3 and 4.5 year old (and us) or do you think they will adjust ok and have a good time? I honestly have no idea...and that is knowing their personality. Thanks in advance! moreResolved Question: Ever heard of camping in Hawaii?
I'm going with my brother, Uncle, and Uncle's friend to Hawaii over spring break and my Uncle has told us that he would prefer to camp out in Hawaii instead of being stuck in a hotel for the whole week.
