Resolved Question: Somebody who is knowledgeable about Paris, please help?
THIS LOOKS LIKE A LOT TO TAKE IN BUT IT IS JUST SOME SHORT QUESTIONS, PLEASE HELP! I am visiting Paris for 3 days at the end of May and need to work out an itinerary. There are many on the internet but they aren't very flexible so I'm attempting to create my own. I have a few questions which I would be grateful for someone who is knowledgeable about Paris to answer: 1) What is the best time to go up the Eiffel Tower? I was thinking just before sunset, to get a view in the light of day, then see the sunset and then see Paris at night, but I don't know what time sunset would be at the end of May, so if anyone knows that would also be helpful. 2) How long on average would you spend on the Eiffel Tower if you were to go to the top and also wanted to take the views in as you visited each floor? 3) Is it worth going inside the Pantheon? How long would you recommend in looking at the Pantheon (both if you were just looking outside or going inside)? 4) Would you recommend a picnic lunch in the Luxembourg gardens at around 2pm? 5) What is the weather and temperature usually like at the end of May/beginning of June? 6) As I am only there for 3 days, which sights are most worth seeing (obviously I won't be able to see everything in that short space of time)? 7) Are there any vintage markets? Clothing, jewelerry, trinkets, souvenirs etc that will be running during the time I'll be there? And what are they called and where are they? 8) Any recommendations for budget restaurants and cafes? 9) How long should we spend in the Louvre? 10) Any beautiful, not tourist infested places with lovely views and scenery, or pretty little streets which could be visited for photography purposes? 11) Affordable fashion shops & their location? 12) Lastly, anyone have an itinerary they think could be useful for me? Sorry this is a lot to ask, but I would be so so grateful, having no knowledge about Paris myself. Any other recommendations would also be very helpful. moreResolved Question: can someone please help me translate this paragraph from english to french?
this is for an assignment i am doing, and i already tried to write as much as i could in french, but need to be sure i am doing it absolutely right. I already tried google translator, but it isn't very reliable and often gets the tenses and verbs mixed up. i would appreciate it if you could help, preferably if you speak or teach french. thank you in advance :) Today is Thursday, 15 April and my first day in Paris!! I arrived at the Hotel Viator on 61 rue des Moines in the morning and am sharing a room with my friend Fleur. First, I settled into the room, and unpacked all my bags. I was really excited to discover Paris! I then went for a walk down rue des Moines, and explored the heart of Place Clichy, which is a bustling shopping area, with its restaurants, cinemas and shops. It was really cool! I then had lunch at one o’clock at Bistro Melrose, at 5 place de Clichy. I ordered la salade nicoise for 10 Euros. It was delicious! After that, I continued strolling through Place Clichy and window shopped, looking at all the wonderful French items. It was very cool. I continued to do this until dinner time. For dinner, I went to Restaurant Le refuge des Moines on 85 rue des Moines. I ordered a very nice three course meal costing me 19 Euros. I ordered a canapés of French finger food for starters, then had battered chicken steak with a large portion of chips for my main course. For desert I had a mouth-watering crème brulee. I was very full afterwards! After dinner, Fleur and I called a taxi to take us to the Eiffel tower. I was so excited! It took us about 17 minutes to get there. The Eiffel tower was HUGE! We waited in line for a while to buy our tickets (9.90 Euros for under 18s) and travelled the levels from the first to the top floor. The view of the sun setting over Paris on the top floor was breath-taking! I then went to the souvenir shops of the Eiffel tower and brought some postcards and key-rings and spent about 10 Euros. After a long time, we decided to go home and called the taxi to take us back to the hotel. It was really late when we got back! I then got ready to go to bed, and remembered my wonderful day in Paris. And the best thing was, it was only the beginning of my wonderful holiday! I can’t wait to explore more! sorry, it's a bit long. moreResolved Question: Help me find a certain church/cathedral in paris?
Hey, i need help as i have forgotten the name of a church or a cathedral (im not sure what it was but there was a service on when we entered.) The church was in paris and had steps leading up to it im sure it was on top of a hill as it was a 5 to 10 minute walk to the top. at the very bottom there was markets and street sellers and there was a town area close to the church at the top were there was alot of markets and artists, there was also alot of small restaurants around the town area that sold creps. on the steps that lead up to the church there was alot of people sitting on the steps and there was a guy singing and playing guitar (i dont think this will help but he was playing Bob marley songs) im sorry that i cant provide much detail. moreTop 10 Restaurants In Paris Search Results
