Resolved Question: What Do You Think Of This As A Persausive Language Speech?

For Year 11; Has To Have Persausive Techniques To Persaude The Reader To Agree With Your Argument My fellow fatties, anorexic, imperfect, flawed, and never ever good enough friends; I’ve come here today to say that enough is enough. We no longer should have to put up with the ever-growing unattainable standard shoved down our throat by the beauty industry today. More specifically that our perception of true beauty is becoming distorted because we now must listen to the like of Paris Hilton to tell us if “that’s hot” or not. Honestly, why do we listen to idiots such as her that are known for owning rat sized dogs, stripped of her inheritance for spoiling the Hilton name and genuinely said when asked about whether she was worried about the growing epidemic of swine flu around the world simply responding by saying “I don’t eat that.” We now look to the catwalks of Milan and New York and see models that fit into a child’s size 7-9 clothing! How is this acceptable? My god, the last time I fitted into that size clothing I was 8 years old and quite happily playing with Barbie dolls. But this really is where the problem starts. Little girls who naively play with and are bought up with a doll who studies found if was a real woman would have: the same size waist as her circumference of her head, only 3 inches of intestine, have double FF cup boobs! Even at the tender age of playing with dolls, enjoying The Saddle Club, and fairy bread there are unreachable standards set upon us. Why is it there has never been a plus size Barbie? With thighs that jiggle and talk to each other when you walk, flabby upper arms, and God forbid a muffin top! But this wasn’t once always the case. Over the last 100 years our perception of beauty hasn’t always been a stick figure. From the early 1900’s all the way up to the 1960’s, our ideal body shape had natural looking curves, hips you could hold onto and thighs that were a reasonable size bigger than ones knees. The body shape of famous celebrities started changing around the 1970’s which went from celebrated curves to ultra thin, un natural bony figures, which mixed the testosterone flued desire of men with waif thin bone structure, big bust and no hips. We now live in an era where it is celebrated to have bones showing, its celebrated to under 50 kilos and 2 meters tall, its celebrated to only eat a cube of cheese every day to loose than extra 5 kilos. But its not just real women that are told by the beauty industry that they are not good enough. Its celebrities too! We see it every single day, and sometimes don’t even realise it. Every woman’s magazines at some point have scrutinized celebrities to find a hint of cellulite, imperfection or heaven forbid body fat! Such as these pictures: Scarlet Johansson, one of the world most beautiful people was 10 times magnified and then posted across the world displaying her “imperfection”. And Kim Catrell- this woman is 50 years old! What I would do to have legs like that at 50! But no, instead of celebrating these women and their flaws, they are plastered across front covers of magazines with words such as shame, shocking and scandalous written next to them, because its simply not acceptable to have flaws when your famous. Their solution? It’s simple. Just get rid of their flaws act as if they never existed, with a lovely little program called Photoshop. They are now separated from us even further, with all of their flaws gone with a simple push of a button. They no longer look normal, people we can relate too! They are now these aliens whose waist is probably as big as the circumference of theirs heads, and enhanced double F boobs!  more

Resolved Question: help me end my autobio!!!!?

She is totally unexpected. You think she is one good girl but when you get to know her she is everything. She is . . . honest, funny, crazy, and you will never know what she will do next! That girl is me, Diana Covarrubias. Although a lot of people call me Dianita or as I prefer princesita. I took my fist breath on January 19, 1994. That’s when the world received the most beautiful girl. Ever since I remember I have lived in San Jose, California; making it 15 years this year. I may be the craziest girly in this city. I am so not your average girl! I don’t like to be like anyone else. “God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27). I strongly believe in this. I mean why try to be someone that you’re not? God already created me like He wants be to be and that who I am going to be! I always have a smile on my face; especially now that I don’t have braces. They say that my smile brightens the whole room. I personally think that really funny. I mean I don’t think my smile is that nice. My laugh is one of the loudest laughs you could imagine. They also say I have the funniest carcajada. This is not even one- fourth of who I am. I am the most optimistic person you will ever meet. For example when I was getting my braces mostly everyone was like, “aww braces hurt a lot and they bug you when you eat.” I was like but at least am going to have straight teeth and during those 2 years am going to have color on my teeth. Beauty costs right? I like to think positive. Its very hard for me to be negative. For instance when I get sick am not like oh my gosh am going to die, I need to go to the doctor. I’m more like the same way it came its going to leave. I may be the biggest dreamer you will meet. I like to think of my life like a fairy tale. That I am a princess and that one day I will find my prince charming and we will live happily ever after. I love making goals. I say if you don’t have goals then what are you living for? I always like to think of my future. For example when I get older I want to be a Social Worker. I want to visit Paris, France, Italy, and Spain. I want to have 2 kids; one girl and one boy. My little princess will be named Sophia and my little prince Andres. I want a huge house with a pool and everything. I mainly declare that am going to have all of these things. Like every girl in this world, I love shopping! Shopping for shoes and jewelry is my thing. I mean even if I don’t need anything I will go shopping. I will come home with 100 new things. People consider me as a shopaholic, but I don’t think that I am that bad. Although sometimes I start to believe that I’m one. For instance I will go into the mall with $100 and an hour later I will have nothing. In my closet right now I have clothes with the tags on. I really don’t know when I started loving shopping so much. I mean I wasn’t like this before. I used to go shopping but not as constantly. Maybe its just a phase that everyone goes through. Another thing I love is to text; it’s my hobby. I text 24/7 or like I say all day everyday. I blame my phone for this. Ha-ha! No, it’s me for being socially crazy! Once I start texting no one can stop me. With one of my friends I can start at 4:00 P.M. and end at 3:00A.M! That’s almost 12 hours! I really don’t get tire of texting. Although there are times when my fingers hurt but I keep texting. ANY ideas on how to end my autobiography!?!?!?!? a conclusion?!?!?  more

Resolved Question: A few jokes.?

What's the difference between Paris Hilton and a Boeing 747? Not everyone's been inside a 747 Why did Michael Jackson call Boyz-2-Men? He thought it was a delivery service. Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, a smart blonde, and a dumb blonde are walking down the street when they spot a $100 on the ground. Who gets it? Nobody. The first four don't exist and the dumb blonde thought it was a gum wrapper. A blonde calls her husband at work one day and asks him, "Can you help me when you get home?" "Sure," he replies. "What's the problem?" "Well, I started a really hard puzzle and I can't even find the edge pieces." "Look on the box," he said. "There's always a picture of what the puzzle is." "It's a big rooster," she said. The husband arrives home and tells his blonde wife, "Okay, put the corn flakes back in the box." I try to keep them as short as possible. Hope you like them!  more

Or if you will not, just swear to be my love, and I will no longer be a Capulet. 12.If I have to use a name, I don’t’ know how to tell you who I am. My name, dear saint, is hateful to me because it’s the name of your enemy. 13.O, don’t swear by the moon, the fickle moon that changes monthly in her circular orbit, for feat that your love should prove equally changeable. 14.Will you leave me so unsatisfied? 15.Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow that I could say goodnight through tomorrow. 16. Violent passions have violent ends ACT THREE 17. I protest, I’ve never harmed you. I love you more than you can understand until you know the reason for my love. 18. I’m wounded! A curse on both your houses! I’m mortally wounded. 19. O Romeo, Romeo, brave Mercutio is dead! His noble soul has climbed to the clouds. He was too young to leave the earth. 20. Alas, he’s dead, he’s dead, he’s dead! We’re ruined, lady, we’re ruined! 21. Tybalt is dead and Romeo is banished. Romeo killed Tybalt and he is banished. 22. My lord, I wish Thursday were tomorrow. 23. Are you gone? My love, my lord, my husband, and my friend? I must hear from you every hour of the day, for just one minute will be like many days. 24. I think I see you, as you are now, but like a dead person in the bottom of a tomb. 25. I’ll never be satisfied with Romeo until I see him – dead – is my poor heart, so upset am I about my cousin’s death. 26. Hang you, you minx! You disobedient wretch! I’ll tell you now: go to the church on Thursday or never look on my face again. ACT FOUR 27. How happy I am to see you, my lady and my wife. 28. What must be shall be. 29. Love ill give me strength, and strength will help me through. Goodbye, dear father. 30. Look! I think I see my cousin’s ghost looking for Romeo who stabbed him with a rapier. Stay there, Tybalt! Romeo, I’m coming. I drink to you! 31. Alas! Help! Help! My lady is dead! ACT FIVE 32. Dead man, lie there, buried by a dead man. 33. Here’s to my love! O faithful pharmacist! Your drugs are quick. With this kiss, I die. 34. O comforting friar, where is my lord? I remember quite well where I am supposed to be, and here I am. But where is my Romeo? 35. Noise! Then I’ll be brief. What luck – a dagger! This is your holder. Rest there and let me die. 36. There never was a story of more sorrow than this one of Juliet and her Romeo.  more
