Physical Education In India Questions and Answers

Resolved Question: What would you choose in a relationship? "Companionship and security" or "chemistry with uncertain"?

I am an Indian student here is US from the past 2 yrs. Back in India, I met my current boyfriend while I was doing my undergraduate degree. We shared the perfect relationship with utmost commitment and loyalty. However, it's been close to three yrs now that we have been in a Long distance relationship, out of those three years, for the 1st year we were both in India but because of our jobs lived in different cities. 2nd year was me being here in the US and he still being there in India, and now since this January we are here in the US, both striving to fulfill our mutual goal of getting education here and making a living for ourselves and ultimately be "TOGETHER" However, since January I came across this very cute guy and we both happen to like each other and we do share the excellent chemistry. While I have been approached by many guys in the past I have always been able to resist and get away with any possible temptations because I was sure and had my focus set on my prize. :) but with this new guy entering my life I am facing a whole bunch of new emotions that I feel I have never felt before. I know this classmate of mine likes me and is very interested in me but since he knows I have some one else on my mind he prefers to keep it silent. I would have to agree that I have not quite felt the same levels of physical attraction towards my current boyfriend ever as much as I do with the new classmate. I am really good friends with my current boyfriend and I love him from the core of my heart. He is really the decent most guy I can ever dream of being with. My life seemed to be on the right tracks untill this new chapter with the classmate begun.... I do realize that all this while I have missed my boyfriends presence even though his emotional support was with me..... I do feel that the distance is taking a toll over my Patience..... I am torn in between choosing the wonderful relationship we have built over the past 5 years... the commitment, the safety, the feeling of knowing the fact that we will be there for each other through thick and thin no matter what comes our way.....or this new relationship where I know I can be happy and have my needs fulfilled in terms of having someone physically present when I would need them and off course the given amount of chemistry we share with other?  more

Resolved Question: why are white people so racist?

I see a lot of people being criticized about skin color. Yet, this fear comes from colonialism and people of color were taught to hate themselves. As genetics go we all come from one black woman from what Europeans call africa. Through colonialism, native cultures were forced to give up their identity, education, code of ethics, and religion. Then they were forced to view the world through their oppressors cultural lens. Here lies the problem for the world. Let go of racism and ignorance. Africa and India are sisters. Genetic science has proven that. When you actually begin to visit places around the world you will find out why some whites hate blacks. The white man is a mutation. Meaning he was not the first man to live on earth. Nor is he the smartest or Superior to any other person. Your spiritual teachings should have assured you of that. Remember this world is only real when love is present. There is nothing wrong with my dark skinned sisters all over the world. I love you all. You are created in the image of the Black Goddess, Black Madonna, Divine Creatrix etc. This was reality long before the whiteman and others who wanted to control you by killing and violating natrual law in favor of their egos. Why are scientests studying Dark Matter. I laugh what they will find out when they really see what the ancients were telling them. There is a hatred for you created by people who have failed to love themselves. This is why they have weapons and warfare for physical wealth. Now don't try and tell me about a white god anymore. I learned that no one can make you inferior unless you allow them. A real angel told me to ask this question to see how many people are living from their hearts. I now see why earth changes will occur. You can call me names and hate me but I know where you are. I don't worry about cleaning up the mess, I just do what I have to do! It's on!  more

Resolved Question: My birth date is 23rd december,1963. Time morning 5.30am, place of birth: Nagpur, maharashtra, India. Born in?

My birth date is 23rd december,1963. Time morning 5.30am, place of birth: Nagpur, maharashtra, India. Born in middle class family, my childhood was happy, if not luxurious. I had to struggle a lot from std. 4th till I completed my education in 1986 (Struggle means- school was far away, I had to walk miles & catch a bus to school, difficulty with studies, low marks & so on) My struggle continued when I started working, for some time had to work for free in initial stages. Inspite of spectacular performance, growth came much later & slower. I tried to start business in partnership with friends, but failed miserably. I left business & continued to work in small pvt ltd company. In 2003,I went to Dubai for work. It did not last long. I worked there for 6 months but returned to India. Again, I had to struggle to find new job but met with a serious accident in which I was bed ridden for 5 months & thereafter I was unemployed for 3 months (total 8 months).Later, I got a job in my old company but this was not at all rewarding. Income was not increasing & I tried with other companies without much success. In Nov 2006,I joined a prestigious public limited company & my income doubled.3 months later, I got an increase of another 10%.I can say this was the best period till date. This growth could not be maintained as there was economic slowdown & company was downsizing. However, I managed to survive & till date continue to work in the same company. During this period, my seniors gave me added responsibilities, but no financial growth since last 3 years. My family life is very peaceful & happy. My wife is very intelligent, supportive, understanding & hardworking. She has been a huge source of inspiration & support. She works from home & contributes almost 40% of our family income. I have a very pretty daughter age 15.She is very intelligent, well behaved & very loving. Overall, my family life is extremely good. My relations with close relatives are also good. I have few but very dependable friends. Today, I have a car, 2 wheeler, 3 bedroom apartment in a good locality, a steady job & happy family life. I wish I should have had all these 10 years before. My present liabilities are home loan & car loan. Assets include some plots of land here & there which may or may not appreciate in future. Financially, I am stable now but will require increase in income substantially in coming days to sustain extra expenses in terms of my daughter’s education & marriage. Health: Me & my family enjoy a happy & very peaceful mental & physical health. There is no anxiety, negativity in our house. I want to know why there were constant obstructions in career & financial growth. What can be done in future to avoid these. I have worked very hard in past without spectacular results. Now, I require divine intervention to put growth on fast track Champak  more

Resolved Question: Why do Indian guys NOT marry their girlfriend?

Hi! I am an Indian lady from USA. I was in India for three years to pursue my education. During that time my family introduced me to a handsome guy....At first I didnt not want to fall in love but he began sending me text messages and calling me on the fone and before I knew it we were in love. He then began to get physical with me....And this made me very emotionally attached to him. Even our families thought that we would get married. I was the happiest person in the world ....finally thought that I had found my prince charming in life. He was my first love too. But when the time came to marry his family demanded a lot of dowry from my family...things that we couldnt afford. When I told him so, he got offended and told me that in arranged marriages in India this is tradition to have a welthy wedding where the boys side is given a lot of stuff including money, jewelery and cars as "gifts" to start a new life together happily. Also some of my family members and aunts came forward and told him that we cannot afford such a huge royal wedding. His family got offended and he dumped me. I was in love with this guy for three years....and I still have problems moving on in life becoz i had grown so attached to him. I truly loved him. He told me that nonone will ever marry me in the end...a very heartbreaking sentence. Now I am back in the US but news has reached me through friends that he is committed to another girl now. It hurts me .....I know I cannot do anything about it...I will just have to let him go...it will take time but I think I will heal and move on as time passes....but before that I will have to go thru thoughts of his wedding ...he might even post profile pics of him and his wife on his facebook page!!!.....This is turture for me...the price i pay to have loved him. Why is it that Indian guys dump their girlfriend and marry a wife?? Obviously, his actions are giving me the message that I am not worthy of being his wife...and that I was just his BOOTYCALL!!!!...This hurts me a lot....I really thought of marriage and future with this guy...I was ready...How could he use me?? Why do guys have a bootycall before marriage and then they dump her and go marry someone else....What about MY broken heart?? How can they be so mean to hurt one girlfriend to marry another?? And he doesnt even feel any regret for what he did....When my family tried to call him he doesnt answer the calls!!!.....Just tell me why do guys USE girls for bootycalls?? Why cant they marry their girlfriend??  more

Resolved Question: Is there a certain dress code in Hinduism or a way Indian NRIs should behave?

Is there a certain way Hindus should dress? I don't mean in Sarees, Dhotis and Salwar Kameezes or any type of traditional wear. I mean when they aren't in India. I live in the USA. Is there a certain way I should dress. Muslim girls generally don't show their legs and wear longer shirts. Some even cover their heads. Do we have something like that in Hinduism?? I'm a conservative dresser already. I never show my legs. I'm uncomfortable wearing really short sleeves. I never wear sleeveless. But I don't wear traditional clothing because my parents believe that since we live in America, we should be like Americans. We're still Hindu. They just prefer we dress like Americans do. I have long hair, down to my hip. I wear it in a braid all the time. I wear bangles too, hardly ever take them off. Also is there a way we should act?? I know we're supposed to respect our elders, parents, and teachers. I do that. I know we take education seriously. I'm a straight A student and I want to go to an Ivy League school. But are we supposed to be shy or something? Are Hindu girls allowed to talk to boys? I'm really shy. I don't like to look people in the eye; I look down a lot. I'm not sure whether it's appropriate to talk to boys or not. Are doing physical things okay, like gym class (aerobic, sports, etc.) or dancing at dances? Would that be considered inappropriate? I mean with boys. I don't mean dirty dancing or any type of grinding or anything, just dancing. Is hugging okay? I generally don't have any type of physical contact with boys. It really bothers me. But at the end of the school year, there' always a lot of hugging. Am I allowed to do that?? And I love Muslims. Am I not supposed to because I'm a Hindu? I love the way the girls wear their make up and how they're covered. I admire the way they're so devout to their religion. My favorite actor (Shahrukh Khan!) is Muslim and I have a crush on a Muslim boy. Is that bad? Am I going against my religion? I don't plan on marrying a Muslim. I know that's not allowed, but liking a Muslim... I just want to be a proper Indian girl. I can't ask my parents for any type of guidelines on the way I should dress or act. They're so much more modern than I am. They'll say that it's good to wear short things when appropriate like in summer. And that I should cut my hair and things like that. They want to westernize me and I don't want to be modern. Please don't tell me any of that "When in Rome, do as the Romans" stuff. Thanks for the help!!  more

Resolved Question: Low IQ may prove fatal for your heart, says study If its true then can't; VICE-VERSA also be true?

According to the report given below; fro today's newspaper; if; ( SMOKING / LOW IQ / LOW INCOME / HIGHER UPPER READING OF BP / LOW PHYSICAL ACTIVITY) are the predictors of heart disease; and death; then vice-versa; the actions and activities of the powers, strengths and abilities of a a healthy heart should in-effect be the cause of creation, development and construction of that ability or wisdom of self in self which can help, drive and motivate the self and others alike; not only to work hard; especially for quitting smoking; gaining high IQ; gaining higher income; lowering the upper reading of BP; and higher physical activity; but also to lead the self to gain the benefits of such hard work of self; as well.. 1) What then could be the actions and activities and the powers, strengths and abilities; which can improve the health, wealth and wisdom of the heart of self. 2) What could be source of them; and 3) What could be the knowledge, intelligence learning and education which can improve the condition of the heart of self. It obviously cannot be those of medicine and sciences as we know; because the heart of a child who is either yet to be born; or who is born and living; or who is growing and developing; is although not dependent on medicines or such sciences; but yet is healthy; and driving his body, mind and senses to work hard; not only for various reasons, objects and activities; but also for gaining the benefits of such hard work.. Could then; this source; knowledge, intelligence learning and education; actions and activities and powers, strengths and abilities; be spiritual in nature; born from certain religious practises; either followed by self or devoted to; by self. Low IQ may prove fatal for your heart, says study Sanchita Sharma sanchitasharma@hindustantimes.com NEW DELHI: IQ is the strongest predictor of heart disease, second only to smoking, reports a large study funded by Britain's Medical Research Council. People with lower intelligence scores -- as reflected by low results on written or oral tests of IQ -- had higher rates of heart disease and death than all other risk factors except smoking, it found. According to the study, published in the European Journal of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, established risk factors, which include obesity and high cholesterol, were not part of the top five risk factors (see box).( SMOKING / LOW IQ / LOW INCOME / HIGHER UPPER READING OF BP / LOW PHYSICAL ACTIVITY ) For the study, 1,145 men and women aged around 55. Data was collected for height, weight, blood pressure, smoking habits, physical activity, education and occupation, while IQ was assessed using a standard test of general intelligence. "IQ is not inherent and often indicates inequalities in social status, education and experience, which influence lifestyle choices. Our study of 19,973 people across 10 centres in India also linked higher education and income to lower cardiovascular risk," said senior cardiologist Dr K. Srinath Reddy, president, Public Health Foundation, India. His study was published in the Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences 2007. Higher education and income -- and now intelligence -- are associated with healthy behaviour such as exercise and healthy diets, all of which lower risk factors such as obesity, high blood pressure and elevated blood cholesterol levels. "People with lower IQ are more likely to be less educated and poor with lower access to health promoting knowledge... This study underlines the need to fast-track health literacy, not just in urban areas but also in semi-urban areas and villages where lifestyle disorders such as heart disease and diabetes are rising faster than in urban centres," said Dr Reddy.  more

I am a Sikh, who grew up among Hindus and Christians.I grew up in India.I have always read about different religions and know about the basics of most of them and treat them according to what they wud be expecting.I have had relationships with a christian,a hindu,a muslim girl and when i was with them they used to say that they didnt feel i was an outsider.I have always believed in "do in rome as the romans do", so i get along with everyone. As for my religion,i don't follow anything my religion says.I go to Temple with my hindu friends,Gurudwara with my sikh friends (and whenever mom want me to coz shes religious),Church with christian friends and Mosque with muslim friends whenever possible. But i never include any of the teachings in the things i do.I just want to be nice to all human beings regardless of race/culture/color/caste and try to make everyone comfortable and happy.Infact I speak to different people in their languages if I can,i speak 5 languages. So i wanted to know, where do i belong. I know i am a good guy and i dont need a religion to tell me how to be a good guy.I believe in a power which made the universe.I call that GOD.But i dont follow Jesus or Mohammad or Ram or Nanak.I believe in GOD and i trust the brain he gave me and my education,i dont need a book to tell me how to be and what to do.Of course it is true that since i grew up in a sikh household so I will have to make less adjustments and there will be more compatibility if I marry a sikh girl as compared to girl of any other religion, but like I said I have never had a sikh gf but had others, which proves that i don't think of religion before the person herself. I am not athiest nor agnostic, but when i say "I believe in GOD", i dont mean Jesus or Mohammad, I mean the power which made the world.I dont believe in heaven or hell.If we make any mistakes on earth,we go thru mental, emotional, and physical torcher for it. Sometimes, it appears to us that people doing illegal and antisocial acts enjoy their life and they are not punished or controlled by God. Actually such persons receive their punishment without other people knowing it. Our knowledge is limited to the legal methods of punishment, being put in jail, or being fined by a judge. The methods of God for rewards and punishment are different. They are all automatic and built in nature. Having done something wrong, a person is always worried lest the people find him to be a liar, a cheat, a robber, etc. Therefore, he remains under mental torture all the time. Even with a good house, good food, and all the comforts of life, he cannot have peace or solace. Fear of being exposed haunts him and bothers him for his entire life. this is a much bigger punishment than the one given by legal courts such as paying a fine or going to jail. One may not get exposed publicly, but at least within his close group of friends, people know the truth about him and he lives the life like that, even though he is not physically in jail. Because of his anti-social or immoral behavior, he remains under mental imprisonment. To explain the self-inflicted punishment one gives to himself or herself, the mention of an actual happening will be helpful. Friends of a very high Indian government officer thought he was enjoying his life as best as anyone could. He got huge bribes from people and spent the money drinking, dancing, and sleeping with women. He ignored his wife and children. The wife, having to fail to restrain him from women and wine, reported the matter to the government regarding his taking of bribes from the people. When the government charged him, his illegal and immoral crimes became public. He was so scared to face his friends, that he jumped from his office window to his death. People doing evil acts punish themselves more severely than a government can. Some, as stated above, even commit suicide and lose the gift of life given by God. Furthermore, unless one gives up evil acts from his mind, these bad thoughts go with him to his next life and they punish him there too. The punishment that people receive here or after their death is not given by God. We get rewarded of punished ourselves as a matter of the consequences of our doings. If you don't watch your feet and stumble on a rock, it is not the fault of the rock nor of God. When a driver takes his mind away from the wheel and meets with an accident, it is not the government which is punishing him; he has invited punishment himself. Our immoral and antisocial acts committed under lust, anger, greed, etc., lead us on the wrong path. As a result, we suffer from physical and mental torture.  more

Resolved Question: Already lost out on good partner. What to do to?

I am 28 years old man, earning well. Good looking, about 6 feet and with a bit of muscular physicue. The problem is that I want some specific type of appreciation/love and this want has eluded me and caused problems. As a child I was deprived of love and appreciation @ home, I couldnt even get appreciation from my friends. I have desired to live a jolly life, connecting with people and enjoying each moment. But the responses I got from people from time to time have made me closed by nature. At times I dont open, I remain in my shell, since I am sensitive person. Lot of Family & personal problems throughtout my childhood, teenage and now also, have left me working without having a close, sweet relation of love. (except with my grandmother) Anyone appreciating me, saying me something as if I belong to them, hits my heart like a lightning. I am feel so refreshed and energized that I get even ready to die for such person ( thats what I think:) ) I feel like doing thousands of things for such person. And what not. So time came to fix my marriage and I starting getting introduced to girls in typical Indian fashion where you should give decision whether to marry or not without going out with the girl or knowing her well. No one can help here even if they want to since the environment here is like that. Decision is to be made latest by 1-2 months. Well I was looking for a sweet girl, who is jolly, lively, who will react to me in graceful manner when I tease her. Who likes to talk to people, who is likes me for the way i am. However it is difficult to know or develop such a relationship in the formal environment in Indian setup. I met a very good girl, matching all of the basic criteria like education, family background, job, good looking, good height. She was quite interested but I treated her like I want to be friend and I didnt open up although she used to tell me a lot of things. I had a negative thought that she shares everything with her mother (this was evident from her frank conversations). I was searching for MY dream girl in her when I should have understood that a Indian GIRL would not open up (interact freely) to a guy unless anything about marriage is fixed. I am dumb fellow. My family is crap since my father lives like a SAINT, he wants no indulgence in this material world. Nor is he interested or looking forward to happy family life. He never speaks or interacts so I am @ gr8 loss while dealing with the world. Same about my mother. His has this atitude that GOD will take care of everything when the TRUTH is that a human being has to do everything possible leave rest to GOD. All the lessons of life I learn in the hardest way. Further 3 months after meeting her I gave go ahead for proposal, I dont know what has happended but the girls parents are saying NO for marriage, I have a impression that delay from our side and the way I treated her has taken its toll. I am in touch with her to know exactly what has hapended. Anyway the problem is that I MUST ONLY marry in our small caste/community where number of girls are very less and that too if any good girl is there, people will approach her parents well before she completes her education and is ready for marriage. I have to marry within one year since in India girls get married by 26-27 latest. QUESTION - I used to expect my wife to be a very sweet person who shares love, keeps people together, like to talk but at the same time is responsible. I dont care about a single thing other than this. I dont think about my spouse in terms of her physical assets. I want this sweetness in her voice, grace in behavior, i am not eager for physical relation. When I met any sweet little girl I want to spend time with her. I have had very little interaction with girls in my entire LIFE. Tell me am I on correct path? Is there any other way this intense desire will get satisifed? My grandmother says once I get married I will not feel this hole in heart/intense desire for appreciation.  more

Resolved Question: My Girlfriend keeps telling me how much her other guy friends love her and want to be with her.?

Well this is the Issue. I have recently met a girl at work. She is just amazing, she is 20 but really has a good head on her shoulders. I am 28. We became very good friends pretty fast and then She came to know that I liked her more than a friend and she confronted me about it. I told her that I really liked her. But she asked me for her to decide to commit to me. That was my first hint that she at least was considering me. Now, 10 days later we spent lovely time together at my home cooking, dancing and singing and the next day she tells me on the phone that she wants to be with me. One month on we are growing stronger and we both realize that we love each other. We did express the same to each other and everything is beer and skittles. Now you (the readers) got to understand that I am in India and she is also an Indian girl, so once a girl or a guy say I love you, it also implies that "I wish to spend the rest of my life with you and that I wish to marry you in the near future". Well we decided that we need to become financially become stronger and she needs to finish her education which would take the next couple of years. All the while in our relationship, we have not got to the physical part which I am OK with. I can wait till marriage for that. Now this girl is pretty and has a very friendly nature. So much so that I have known her guys friends who are constantly telling her that they love her. Now she does tell me about all these things and does ask me not to be jealous cause she does not love them and only loves me. Now some of the guys are her really good friends, so she is not willing to just stop talking to them. She tells me that she has told them that she cannot love them and but did not tell them anything about me for the fear of her parents finding out, which would be an issue at the moment. Now, she keeps talking about these 2 guys who are her good friends and they both love her and would want to marry her. And that they are good and capable people who have a good career. She tells me that they would be really gutted if they found out that me and her got married at some point. She tells me that she can never tell them about me directly as it would hurt them alot. Now I really don't know what to do ? I tried to talk to her about it and she tells me not to worry as she loves only me. But her constantly telling me that there are some other guys who are my competitors, for lack of a better term, makes me feel kinda less and insecure. Now I am not exactly a bum. I have studied and worked abroad for almost 8 years which gives me a matured perspective of the world. But due to personal reasons I had to come back to India an year ago and the recession has made me take up a job that does not pay as much but still has room for growth. I constantly keep telling her how much I love her and that I would not know where to go or what to do with out her. Her on the other hand says that she will definitely get married to me and only me and if not me not to any one else. Now I have to remember that she is 20 years old. I don't know what to make of the whole part about all these guys liking her and her telling me about it. Its not like she says yes to them, but she doesn't even say know which kinda gives them Hope, which is kinda misleading. I know that girls of her age like the attention and want to feel special and to know that they are beautiful. I donno if I have painted a clear picture or not, but if there are some guys and gals out there who may shed some light on this situation, I would really appreciate it. I do not doubt at all that she loves me cause at times, she does tell me that she loves me very very much and she misses me a lot, when we do not meet for 3 or 4 days. So should I be worried about these other guys who are her friends ? Should I feel insecure ? IS this going to get better or worse by time ? I am completely confused. This girl is definitely the love of my life. Would really love to see this through to our marriage. Any advise would be really appreciated. And thanks in advance for reading this rather long Essay.  more

Resolved Question: is intensified pulse polio programme harmful to children?

Tiruvuru, 12-12-2008. To whom so ever concerned, Sub: Pulse Polio Programme- reasons for failure- regarding. Sir, I am Ravi Kanth Yelamanchili, presently working as a lecturer in vikas college of education, vissannapeta, and I am a trained personal in Early Childhood Care and Education at NCERT, New Delhi. I want to present before you, sir/madam, some issues related to intensified pulse polio programme, which I think should be duly considered by all the people. . I humbly request you sir/madam to go through the matter and provide me with the necessary information. It will be helpful not only to me but also helps me in teaching about the pulse polio programme to our trainees. I had written to many officials in this matter but cannot get any reply from any Indian officials excepting some from international experts who advised me to take the issues with local government.. And if the questions are unanswerable then the programme future should be reconsidered. Thanking you sir, Yours faithfully, Y. Ravi Kanth. My address Y. Ravi Kanth Hno: 16-111;Ashok Nagar; Tiruvuru; Krishna dt; Andhra Pradesh; Pin: 521235 Ph 08673-251586 Cell: 91- 9848269169 Emailid: yrkindia@yahoo.co.in Is intensified pulse polio programme harmful to child? Intensified Pulse Polio Programme started in India in 1994 officially, but it was spread through out the country in 1995 with the main aim of eradicating polio by 2000AD. According to it there is no need of giving oral polio vaccine to the children after 2000 AD. But this was not successful and so was extended up to 2005 with a vision of declaring India a polio free state by 2005. But this also failed. According to National Plan of Action 2005 developed by Department of women and child development 2007 the objective under child survival is to certify by 2007 the eradication of polio, which is not possible under present conditions with almost 1000 cases of polio being reported from different states of India. What is polio vaccine? Polio is a disease caused by virus which attacks mainly children below 5 years and causes a type of paralysis and also leads to some nervous disorders and physical disability. Polio vaccine consists of half dead virus and is given to children orally. The dosage is 2 drops 4 times below 5 years mainly at the individual’s age of 1 ½ month, 2 ½ month, 3 ½ month and a booster dose at 18 months(optional). The main reason behind giving the vaccine 3 or 4 times is because the mothers milk can restrict the child from getting immunity against the disease particularly those who were given colostrums. Booster dose is given so that by that time the child stops drinking mother’s milk. Actually speaking one perfect dose is enough if it works, to protect the child from polio. It gives life long immunity for that person as like other anti viral vaccines. Now a days due to pulse polio programme every child in his life is being given a total of 15 doses minimum (5*2 = 10 doses +4 regular+ one dose at birth). But during the start of the programme it was said that polio vaccine can be given for not more than 12 times according to some standards. But in India it exceeds. With several side affects seen when the vaccine is given to children, is it safe to give the vaccine for that many times, that too a vaccine which is related to nerves? Is this vaccine responsible for the stress related problems in the present generations? Does this vaccine related to virus family is responsible for the spread of other viruses in humans like HIV and bird flu etc., My view is that as mosquitoes are responsible for the spread of malaria, prevention of mosquitoes is necessary then injecting medicine to the people. similarly the spread of polio virus is only through oral fecal contact only so why can’t we prevent the spread by improving the hygienic conditions One thing is clear that polio is spread only by fecal-oral contact only either directly or through flies. When we stop this then there is no polio. Why are we not thinking of prevention by improving hygiene and spending money on improving hygiene rather than vaccination. The following questions need to be answered by any responsible person before blindly taking the programme into the people and taking the children into a high risk zone. 1.How many times could this vaccine be given for a child in his life time? Is there any limit to the number of doses to be given? (Scientifically tested or not) 2.If there is no limit is there any side effect by giving the vaccine more number of times? 3.Is the pulse polio programme tested in our country on any sample or in any other country at least? 4.What is the use of pulse polio programme while normal polio eradication programme( through UIP ) is going on in the country? 5.As the vaccine is related to nerves does it cause any side affects or nervous disorders or early  more

Resolved Question: Is it true that Zoo-keeping can be a thankless job?

Thats how I feel, they take care of animals but their welfare is not taken care properly........ not paid properly and things like that.......In my country(India), zookeeping is considered to be menial job and we don't have very educated people doing that...mostly poor people who are willing to scavenge with a good interest in animals come to do that...their job is limited to cleaning, feeding the animals and caging and un-caging of animals....incase of an illness it is the vet who examines the animals....zoo-keepers role is restricted to physical job only and they usually don't do research......that's why a minimum education degree is enough....Is it really a thankless job? Resolved Question: sex education only for girls and not for boys??

my girlfriend said she has received sex education from her mom twice.once while she was 11 and asked her mom about "some sticky substance coming out of her vagina"&again when she was 14&the secretion occurred.she says both the times she asked her mom about it.the 1st time she asked, her mom told her it happens when u get excited, its normal&its concerned with pregnancy.she says she could not understand much then.again when it happened when she was 14,she asked it to her mom,who told in detail about penis and vagina and the process of sex and everything related to it.but i didnt had that privilege.i had to depend on magazines and newspapers to give me a correct&educated view of sex.so in most cases in india,do only girls get sex education at home because of obvious physical changes?i was afraid to ask about masturbation to anyone and was guilty about it.but her mind would have been so clear, thanks to her mom.i didnt even knew that the secretion from my penis was sperm till much later.  more

Resolved Question: How rapists are aroused when the victim is opposing vehemently or does opposition/violence stimulates them?

Violence/opposition may not be the right condition for physical union between the two humans (straight/otherwise). Isn't there a need for preliminary stages of arousal in order to engage in a sexual intercourse? Yet I fail to understand the psychology behind the heinous activity of the rapists. They seem to enjoy the more, the more opposition there is from the victim to stop them. I am just trying to understand the phychological working of the mind of a rapist. It could help the community to look out for such persons, atleast mark a peculiar behavoiour of such (community education is needed) or help them somehow? In India the importance of psychological counsellors (Head shrinkers) is not yet realised. In fact when someone is taken to such a shrink he/she is considered mentally affected, most often mad they are even looked down upon or not taken seriously by the people. In the interest of the community, let the answers be serious and positive. Sometime back I read in one of the English Newspapers: A woman was waiting at a certain bustop for any conveyance in the evening after work. An auto-driver offered to reach her to her destination telling her that he was heading towards the same. With much hesitation she got in. After some distance another man got in. Then they took her to an isolated place and raped her. Do not know whether it was a preplanned or not. As the papers narrated didn't look so. I was wondering where does such a sudden upsurge of passions come from, quite difficult to understand this rape phenomenon.  more

Resolved Question: U.S. in big trouble, will the rest of the world follow ? your opinion please?

<America is obviously in serious debt> Yes, very serious. Yet we must ask "owe what to who ?". <we spend the most on medical care> the pharmaceutical companies generate massive profits and often provide poor recovery. 3/4 of the ppl needing medical care are due to life style choices. <the war in Iraq is costing us millions each year> Actually so far its 1.2 trillion ! So that would be BILLIONS a year. Consider the costs... * $4,681 per household. * $1,721 per person. * $341.4 million per day. Taxpayers in the United States will pay $137.6 billion for the cost of the Iraq War in FY 2007. For the same amount of money, the following could have been provided: 1,070,377 Affordable Housing Units AND the medical costs (mental and physical) for Iraq veterans "Long-Term Price of Providing Veterans Medical Care Could Reach $660 Billion" as well, the "violence carry over" into the U.S. population is horrendous. <we spend the most on education > (yet we are around number 14 in the world), myopic vision destroys understanding <and our production output cannot compete against the superior imported items> U.S. companies move out of the U.S. for cheaper labor, all in the name of "Profits". U.S. wastes valuable resources on destruction of countries to secure oil for the "energy corporations"... Solutions: -Pull out of Iraq . -Create a transparent government. -Have the Bush administration tried for war crimes and "big oil" brought into the whole situation. -Provide China and India with more voting power in the U.N. (after all they have the greatest population in the world, and you're for democracy, right?) -Create a transparent world government, lead by intelligent people (leaders ested for adaptablity, compassion, etc.)  more
