Voting Question: Foreign Exchange Program?

I'm 15 years old and I'm considering taking part in a Foreign Exchange Program to spend my Junior year in India. I'm half Indian but don't really know anything about the culture or language, so I think it'd be a great experience to learn about it. One thing I'm worried about, however, is getting credits for all my classes. I know that I need to figure it out with my guidance counselor at my high school and whatnot, but I was wondering how colleges look at it. I know spending a year abroad would look really good, but I was told that some colleges might not accept the credits or grades because of the difference in grading and education systems in different countries. I was wondering if this is true, and if there is any way to convert the grades or figure something out around it? Also, foreign exchange programs are really expensive. If you've ever been part of a foreign exchange, did you think it was worth it? Where did you go, how long did you stay, and how do you think you benefited from it?  more

Resolved Question: Why all other engineering colleges are not providing updated knowledge as IIT do?

I m irritated with this Indian education system. I had seen a video where a IIT professor taught about electronics in more easy way even in which a dull student can understand. I think our Indian education system is not really updated to make more achievers in field of research and science. During my school days i dreamed to join IIT. Ya which ll be the dream of most of the students. But i m unlucky and joined another engineering college. I changed my attitude and still hot enough to do achievements. But i got upset with my subjects i.e. still i m learning the same physics, chemistry, maths, computer in my 1st year which I studied in my school days(bad indian education system), since i thought of learning new things & becoming professional in which i m interested. But the professors not only in my college as well as in other top colleges are not smart as IIT professor's to teach us even the basic subjects with care. Our indians don't have lot of practical knowledge as in that of other achieving countries.Yes this question which irritated me a lot when i had difficulty in getting basic subject knowlege in my college. Then how & when ll the India become developed country? Then when ll Abdul Kalam's dreams become true? Then when ll even a poor child in India ll become a great scientist or researcher? When ll the colleges in India ll become great research universities with International standards? I know I can't get a proper answers for all these questions. Please give me a suggestion or opinion about this...  more

Resolved Question: Is this gender bias or giving a fair chance?

Before I say what happened, I must explain a bit about the education system followed in some of the states here in India. In state of Karnataka, once you pass 10th grade(the total marks being 700), you have option of specialising in Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biology(PCMB) only for your Class 11 & 12, or opt for Commerce stream. You can choose either of them, besides the mandatory courses in English, one regional language and Computer Science etc. So, there are some colleges in the state of Karnataka that have decided on different minimum passing grade for boys and girls to join Class 11 after their 10th grade exams. As it's been found that girls score consistently more than boys in this state in 10th grade exams, their minimum marks to join Class 11 for PCMB stream will be 599/700 while for boys, it is 594/700. Or else, the colleges claim that boys find it difficult to get admission into such courses. There is huge demand to join PCMB stream as that helps the youth here to later apply for a degree in Medicine or Engineering. Now, is this bias? Has doing well for the girls become a curse for them? Or were the colleges right in giving a 'chance' to boys too? Regards, Manoj  more

Voting Question: College decision!! Very confused! Please Help!!?

Is it better to study in India or Australia? Personally I feel that Australia is better because there are many more oppurtunities for me to develop overall(personality, education) and the degree is internationally recognised. I have studied in the Indian system and I did not like it. I felt that there was too much of mugging and my school was ridden with politics. I never got a chance to do well. If I go abroad I feel that I can develop much more and do better basically start off all over again with a clean slate. Im 18 . I do not want to go to college in India because there is a lot of corruption, ragging, politics and we only mug up useless theoretical information which will never be applied in real life. Please don't get me wrong. I don't hate India. I only hate the educational system. From my own experience it put too much pressure on you without giving you scope to breath and develop yourself and do any extracurriculars. I did'nt like it. I feel that education should be comprehensive and applicable in real life. That's why we study. I don't want to waste the best years of my life mugging up theory in a small room and losing out on all the activities I did since childhood. I really want a change from this kind of education. How do I explain this to my parents who want me to study in India and save my years. To me Education is more important than the time. For Australia:- I am planning to do Biomedical Science and then shift to dentistry.Get to develop overall and get the change I want. In India:- I am getting direct admission to Dentistry. But I will mug and mug and it will be 10 times worse than my school which I do not want. Please give me honest answers. I really need help! It does not matter how long or how short. Thank You!  more

Resolved Question: What do you think of India's caste system?

Okay, in India, they have this thing called caste-ism. It is a wierd mix of tribe, religious & class discrimination where people from certain segments of India separate themselves from others & only marry within their own caste Caste is closely associated with acheivement. A Patel, for example, is considered high caste because traditioinally they have been a dominant force to b reckoned with in India. Patels marry only other Patels' in order to stay high caste. There is extreme pressure on high caste Indians to acheive in order to give legitimacy to why they are high caste, so their families usually put emphasis on 2 things: Education & money. In some Indian families, everyone is either a doctor, a lawyer, or a business man. If you are a child in such a family & fail to achieve, you risk being disowned  more

Resolved Question: Where should I study?

India or Australia? I want to study dentistry. My plan is to do post graduation or masters from US/Canada/Singapore/UK. Im keeping all these potions open. For undergrad I have applied to Australia and Canada for BSc. I have studied in an Indian School since 4th Grade and I did'nt like it. I wanted a change. I felt that it was too boring to mug up theorical information which is not applicable in real life. I want to study abroad because I feel that the education I get will be more comprehensive and I would be placed on a higher career path. If I do a dental degree from India then it will not be recognized in the States and Canada for masters or post graduation. I have explained this but still I am being told that India is better. I love India but I don'like the education system. It stifles your creativity and thinking. I want a change, something more useful, comprehensive and practical. I might apply to India next year as a back up option but I prefer studying abroad. What is your opinion. Sorry for the long read. I appreciate the patience.Thank You!  more

Resolved Question: is studying abroad really worth it?

I am planning to do a masters degree in management from a university in canada. It is very expensive and I am not in the favour of taking a loan. I will be making a big withdrawal from my savings for this. My question is whether studying abroad really is fruitful? Will it really improve my skills and fetch good returns in terms of salary. I plan to come back to India after finishing my degree abroad. Is it better to study here in india itself or is it better to study abroad? I know that their system of education is different and is better. But is it really worth it - making such a big financial investment for education abroad or shall I justdo it from India?  more

Resolved Question: Since high caste hindus have hijacked everything, what is the way to become powerful in India for us low caste?

Communism ? Revolution? or what? Upper caste hindus control all the wealth, education, power, polity, military, police, real estate . They have only treated us like beggars meant for affirmative action doles/ reservation. And reservation has only made few of us servants only in govt. sector jobs. How can we become masters of our own destiny. The capitalists western powers have always supported the upper castes in making them richer & richer. How can we achieve freedom for ourselves so that we can live in dignity instead of a pseudo democratic system of India where intimidation of upper caste hindus rule. Read this recent news : "Upper caste Hindu Jats burnt alive a young girl and his father because they objected to their pet dog being hurt by upper caste boys in haryana state. Then the upper castes burnt down many houses of low castes." "Five members of low caste family including children in their arms committed suicide before a running train because they were afraid of their village committee of upper castes." The upper castes are more in numbers. And in democracy politicians only look for numbers. The present political system has failed to do any good to low caste who are listed below animals in the hindu scriptures such as in Manusmriti. There is no way out and it seems that suicide is the only option left for 170 million low caste people in India. Any suggestions? False Bodhifan : Slowly end is coming to ur ppl's power. Mandal commission has done the same divide & rule to you upper castes . Now only wait & watch till u ppl become a minority. And yes now you ppl have been exposed for indulging in militancy too, hindutva groups have been responsible for 5 bomb blasts including in Malegaon.  more

Resolved Question: IS Reservation necessary? especially in education and when allocating jobs?

They say india is a secular country and all people r equal irrespective of caste and religion. But, the government itself divides some people as forward caste and some as backward. And provide reservation for them, in education. I KNOW SOME PEOPLE WHO JUST GOT 70 OR 73 PERCENT, BUT EASILY GOT ADMISSION BY PAYING A LITTLE, FEW AMOUNT. BUT, SOME STUDENTS GOT 93PERCENT AND U KNOW HOW THEIR PARENTS SUFFERED TO PAY THE FEES TO GET THEM ADMISSION. EVEN IN SOME GOVERNMENT JOBS ALSO, KNOWLEDGABLE AND DESERVED PERSONS ARE PREVENTED AND OTHER PEOPLE WERE GIVEN JUST BECAUSE OF RESERVATION. BUT, MIND I DIDN'T MEAN THEY DON'T HAVE SINGLE TALENT AT ALL. BYT AREN'T PEOPLE ARE PROVIDED SAME BRAIN AND WILLPOWER? IS THIS THE SYSTEM PRACTICED IN OTHER COUNTRIES TO GIVE IMPORTANCE TO CASTE INSTEAD OF TALENT? IS THIS THE MAIN REASON, OUR COUNTRY HAS NOT ADVANCED, JUST BECAUSE MANY TALENTED AND DESERVED PEOPLE ARE PREVENTED, BECAUSE OF THEIR CASTE? ANSWER HONESTLY, BY THINKING OF THE SUFFERINGS OF THIS STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS.  more

Resolved Question: What jobs sectors and industries are going to grow in Europe and North America the next 50 years?

China and india is growing everyday even in this climate. There are 10 of millions of educated (degree's or colledge educated) in the so called developed world looking for work, including most those already employed, seeking better job security I myself currently work part time (I have 2 years voluntary exp and 1.5 exp in the industry I want to work in and another half year with varied in alot of differnt areas) and I have been looking for a full time job for over three months now. Im told retrain as a teacher by the government...... brilliant..... why? I myself already know about 6-7 people trying to become a school teachers (in training or trained and already working in education, the market will become bombared by the time I get trained up and will be like the current education system now.... and I dont want to be a teacher! lol) and Im just one person (I live in the UK) and what then what about all those who finish education (around half a million yearly in the uk alone not to mention all the others without an education and all those in other countries like the US and Germany, France ETC) and once we have our useless degree's and certificates should everyone of them become teachers too? Iv been to china and from what I have seen...... they will rule this world as god himself! so what do we, my generation do in europe and north america? Im 23 years old for crying out loud! it my generation that has to work till death as we wont get the luxery of reitirment like the ones that caused this problem.... doesnt it make sense for us to work to support all those who will need our support in the future. but what areas do we go for or plan for, should we move to china? so we can make 0.50p/ 0.25 cent an hour? What can we do? where what and when will thing (if ever) get better? or should we emigrate? .....which Im very close to doing? Hey Spotty J, if you dont like the question why waste your time answering the it? Are you that sad and pathetic? so instead of answering a question you try to insult someone? Resolved Question: Teacher-student ratio too inadequate in state sponsored civilized education to bring down terrorism, at least?

at least in Spirit ? Like in the recent massacre in Dantewada, the Army personnel stating, the reason to be non-adequate training. Don't you think its high time for the appellate authorities, not just in India but worldwide (Army Training Centres, UGC, AICTE etc in India) to consider increasing the teacher - student ratio, to reduce such mishaps. Can increased Teacher - Student ratio improve Value Education with better care and attention, thus bringing down even the acts of violence in soceity because of non - adequate and ample care ? Don't you think the educational systems having a better teacher-student ratio performs better in imparting the intended knowledge ? Don't you think Goverments' policies must be acting to boost up the number of training personnels thru law to reduce many mishaps like those in Dantewada. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/crocodiletears/601308/ How can the existing training facilities be motivated to increase the Teacher - Student ratio ? Don't you think, Graduates in one discipline be enabled (as assistant trainers) to groom the people studying for graduation in the same discipline to solve this problem considerably ? Spiritually something like the Upadevathas in a Main temple taking care of the devottee with a personalised care. Like the "Vigrahas" of various Deities teaching aspects of "Saguna Brahmam" with a more personalised care suiting more to the tastes of Devottee and hence ensuring a better training, like many private institutions and universities do, in imparting a more personalised education along with the Institutions set up by the Government. Spiritually, What is the most apt Teacher - Student Ratio in various levels of Education ?  more

Resolved Question: Do you agree with Thomas Friedman?

In this book, the earth is flat, he showers the education system of India with his adulations. Especially the fact that India produces thousands of Engineers per year where US only produces a small proportion of that. Honestly, I feel there is no way an undergraduate from Cornell or UCLA can be compared with an undergraduate from local colleges in india. True that IIT's provide (or to be honest used to provide) a similar if not better education, but definitely not the local colleges. An engineer brought up in an america school is miles ahead of an engineer brought but in local indian college. I can say this with a great deal of authority as I have studied both in India and pursuing my masters in engineering in US. What do you people think about Mr Friedman's opinions. Excuse my poor formatting and spelling mistakes. Thanks everyone for the reply @Aoife I think all the hype is from the media.( especially the Indian media which is particularly apt at blowing things out of proportion). Overestimation is far more worse than underestimation. And in my opinion Indian education system has a long long way to go to match up to its american counterparts. [ Exceptions do apply like Indian Institutes of Managements, Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Statistics etc...] but even they are going down in calibre thanks to our extremely inept and corrupt politicians. And with rapidly declining talent pool which these universities now offer, I strongly disagree with Friedman' s statements.  more

Resolved Question: Hindu Caste system: In the current context what you practice?

It is agreed that: 1. The caste system: The longest running discrimination system in the world both in terms of nos. of years and volume of people discriminated. 2. Treatment of women: Child marriage, Sati, no chance of owning property 3. Education: Large scale deprivation of education for 85% of the population, all prayer said in snskrit 4. It is ruining any chances of united hindu society. 5. In modern India, it is tool of discrimination and enslavement. However; 1. Hinduism has never been organised religion. 2. Vocation based caste system degenerated into birth based on in very early stage of hinduism. 3. Caste system is too complex. It was basically enforced through heredity, caste rules, marriage, prefrential treatment and royal support. Heredity and preferential treatment being the most exploitive. 4. Each society creates its own self sufficiency and way of life. It may start with dress code & may end with Talibanisation. 5. Judicial activism and social reforms has triggered change that has been accepted. No parallels like these can be seen in other religion. 6. Today, in certain parts of India, especially Tamilnadu, we are witnessing reverse discrimination. There is wide spread discrimination against brahmins. In view of these: 1. It is distressing to see several comments, reports and literature, especially in lower caste masses, that being circulated questioning caste system and how it is destroying the very fabric of society. These comments, report and literature are more of type of brainwashing and will ruin any chances of having united hindu society. Any comments, opinions, recommendations, suggestions other than psuedo secualrists??? Any more social reforms?? Any more areas where judicial activism is required?? Please please please I have heard a lot on abolishing caste system and replace with Income inequality to justify reservations. Our Govt. is thick skinned and caste system is here to stay. Well you are holding present generation responsible for what has been done by past generation. Isn't it?  more

Resolved Question: Is India a democracy or a congress party dictatorship?

The essence of a democratic system is one wherein the public can vote a government out of power in the event that the government screws up. How can India call itself a democracy if it has had the same party in power for 99.9% of the time? The Congress party has created such a structure whereby it would be virtually impossible for the Bharat public to vote them out of power even if the public wanted to. The media serves as nothing more than a mouthpiece for the party and criticizes everything about the opposition without impartial unbias analysis. The entire education system has been devised in such a way that people are brainwashed from an early age and are lied to in regards to Indian history. The Congress party relies on the same corruption that it has created in order to stay in power, for example in the last elections opposition candidate names were not even mentioned in some states on the ballot paper. Moreover the rationale behind a democracy is that it is the majority sentiment that takes hold, however in India less than 50% of the population even bother voting because the majority has simply lost hope in the unprofessional and uneducated Congress party politicians. The anti-Hindu Congress party has done everything in its power to keep the masses illiterate so it is easy for the politicians to brainwash them. In this respct how can anyone call India a democracy?  more

Resolved Question: I want to go abroad !! Please Help!?

I really want to go abroad and study but my parents are against it. They are hell bent on sending me to India. I want to do a Dental Degree in US(Masters) and I know that it;s impossible to if I do a Bachelor's from India and go to US. It's very difficult and a lot of time will be wasted. They can afford a reasonable college fee(abroad approx 20,000$-25000$). I told them that I want to go abroad because I want to expand my horizons and meet new and different kinds of people(culturally). They allowed me to apply but now they want me to go to India to study for a year and then go to US. I told them that it's very difficult and I will be wasting a lot of years. It's easier to go to Australia/UK/Canada/Singapore and then to US because these degrees are recognized. I have to repeat everything all over again if I go to US from India. They are willing to send m younger brother abroad but not me! I should also be allowed! This is not fair according to me. Can u help me on this issue? I hate the Indian Education System and my HS years were only spent in studying(I found them boring). I have the chance to change myself if I go abroad and experience something new. My parents want my brother to get into Oxford and Cambridge but they want me to study in India. I agree that I am not as smart as my brother but I still think it's unfair. Please Help!  more

Resolved Question: I don't know what to do!!!?

My parents WANT me to study in India(Dentistry). They are hell bent on it. I want to do an undergrad. degree in Australia or Canada and then go to a US Dental School for a Masters Degree. The reason is that an Indian Degree is not recognized all over the world but a US degree is. Also u are placed in a higher career path. I love India but I don't want to go to a hostel there. I don't want to be ragged by the seniors. My main reason is the education system. I have been studying in the Indian Education System since Grade 4 and only in Grade 11 and Grade 12 I realized how theoretical and boring it was! If I was in an IB school I would have had an awesome college profile and I would have enjoyed my teenage years more. I hated the system because of how theoretical it was and non of it was actually applicable to real life. Also I had over competitve classmates who cared only for marks over friends. All of this makes me HATE the Indian System. I want a more liberal system where I can choose my own courses. Also If I study in India I will be in a comfort zone. I will not get to experince cultural diversity and I will not have the experience of having a different lifestyle. Also my dental degree is not recognized in USA so it makes things 10 times harder. I have explained all this to my parents god knows how many times but they still don't listen! They think it's very easy to transfer to USA. I don't want to study under the Indian Education System any more because Im fed up of mugging big fat textbooks which have no substance whatsoever!! and the corruption!! I love India but I hate the education system. I do not want to mug up unnecessary details but want to concentrate more on learning the information and keeping it for life! That's what education is all about. I know a lot of you will say that Indian colleges are not below in quality but I hated the system and I want to experience something new and easier and more innovative!  more

Voting Question: Why is it that liberals have only done damage and never good to this country?

1. By fighting against the injustice of a monarchy. 2. By demanding and fighting for abolition (yes, the Republican party was the liberal abolitionist party way back when). 3. By demanding that we have environmental standards so that our water isn't of the same standard found in urban India. 4. By fighting to have public roads so that all Americans have access to transit. 5. By fighting to establish solid public transport systems in our major cities to reduce reliance on automobiles, and decrease air pollution. 6. By fighting for universal, tax-payer funded education so that we can have an educated populace so that we can be a better American through education of our citizens. 7. By demanding that our veterans be rewarded for their sacrifice with subsidized medical care and educational grants. 8. By working to abolish the death penalty so that no innocent person can be put to death (something we're finding out more and more of thanks to DNA testing). 9. By establishing public libraries so that we can have a better educated population, the characteristic of a democracy. 10. By fighting to get Blacks and women the right to vote as well as extending the vote to those old enough to die for their country. Yeah, I am sick of these damn liberals tearing down our country. Let's private everything! After all, I am a self-made man despite my public education, public transport, libraries, military protection, police protection, fire protection, clean air and water enforced by the EPA....I got there all on my own!!!!!!  more

Resolved Question: America: How come foreigners come to this country to get educated despite cost, while americans drop out of it?

I was wondering about this, and decided to put it on here so I can have other opinions as well. Please keep in mind that I am not pointing at any particular race, but at all races living in the United States of America. Here it is: It is very expensive to get an education in the states if you are an International students, but yet each years many people from all over the world ( poor countries included) are willing , despite the high cost of an education in america, to come to the states so they can have a better education. We also have to keep in mind that most of these international students are not allowed to work in the states at first, but yet despite the difficulties involved and despite studying in poor conditions, most of them will manage to get higher degrees such as PHD, Masters, Bachelors. As an example just to cite a few, India: most Indians are doctors or own their own business, live in posh areas, drive great cars that they payed for.. ( and even when Indian parents are not educated they will sacrifice themselves to give a better education to their children and this goes for the mexicans as well) , most Nigerians are lawyers, most mexicans are doctors ( dentist), or teachers, most South Americans such as Brazilians are interior designers, and the list goes on.... Now Americans, we have a much better advantages , such as loans, grants, scholarship... but yet a higher number of americans will drop out of school at a very early age. Some americans are not even able to speak proper english ( please do not think I am being racist here, because many whites or blacks can not really write a proper sentence on a piece of paper, or even speak it, goes to say that being uneducated has nothing to do with color) most people, are happy to rip off the welfare system as long as they are able to do so. Some people think it is ok not to work, and rather stay home and watch tv, play games all day long, and some, even based on the fact that they have no source of income, still find a joy into having lot and lot of children. America is it not time to wake up? Please keep in mind that every opinions are welcome it might be in marriage and the divorce section, but it is because all answers matter to be. Ryde on: where do you get this imformation from? Get your facts straight first, no tax payers money is used to pay for any international student. In fact they have to pay 3 times what a regular american will pay because they are out of country  more

Resolved Question: Why is America so religious despite high education levels?

It always strikes me that despite high levels of education Americans are so much more fervently religious than their European, East Asian or Indian counterparts. Throughout the developed world the percentage of religious people (as opposed to atheists or agnostics) has been inversely proportional to general levels of education and development. Across Western Europe and East Asia, the percentage of the population that professes belief in an alleged God has dropped to below 50% in Germany, Switzerland, Finland and Ireland; and even below 40% in UK, Denmark, France, Norway, Japan, South Korea and Sweden. Why hasn't this general trend caught on in the US? Even in India, where religion still has a firm stronghold; there has never been any such thing as an 'evolutionist vs. creationist' debate and neither has there ever been any religious opposition against stem cell research and cloning. Is this something to do with America's education system?  more

Resolved Question: How do we get America to be as respected and powerful as it was years ago?

China within the next 20 or so years will become an official superpower, and India will eventually follow. Right at this moment, China is literally buying the United States and the world, and they are not going to stop this process. In the 1980's, America was the biggest creditor nation in the world- now we are the world's biggest debtor. The last time Americans were this pessimistic was when Carter was president, and to be fair, the problems he faced were not his fault for the most part, although he was slow to react. National pride is at a pitiful level and that is only making everything worse. People now would rather blame America than blame themselves. No matter what his faults were, Ronald Reagan brought patriotism back to America and the Soviets had never feared us so much before his presidency, even when Kennedy was president. Even though Star Wars never was fully developed, it caused the Soviets to panic, to spend more than they could afford, and helped cause their demise, along with the efforts of the other Cold War presidents. After George H.W. Bush's presidency, this country has lost respect internationally and we are not the country we once were. America's education system needs to be improved (in order to compete with other nations that have much higher standards than we do), Americans need to learn how to manage money (our economy right now proves Americans have no clue what to do with their money), and Americans need to stop being so ignorant of world affairs. Too many Americans live isolated from the world and this is one of our weak points. As people here are watching their TV's like zombies and stuffing their faces in with junk food, China is buying another corporation and India is positioning themselves to do the same.  more

Resolved Question: Why are parents of public school students so annoying?

I am 18 and go to a public school, but it is a pretty well-respected one and is above national standards for a lot of things. I was at the top of waiting lists for private schools in the area, but opted out only because my friends go to this school. Anyway, what annoys me the most is the public school bureaucracy, which is fulled with a bunch of left-wing, power-hungry, bitchy moms and grumpy fathers. I am even more disgusted with the public school system when it allows bullies to bully other people to the point of suicide, which has happened, most recently in Massachusetts to a beautiful girl who came from Ireland. Parents obviously weren't doing their jobs and teachers turned a blind eye to the bullying. I demand that all of the teachers are investigated, several should lose their jobs immediately (more than enough qualified applicants will be more than happy to take their jobs in this economy), and legal action should be taken against the school administration, the bullies, and their parents. Parents of public school kids nowadays don't want to admit that their little angels are actually a bunch of little brats who should be disciplined accordingly. Back in the day, teachers would literally drag these brats around the school and physically throw them out the front doors and tell them to come back in three days. The worst part was telling your parents why you were kicked out of school, as parents actually did their jobs then. I wish Ronald Reagan privatized all schools, like he was talking about doing when he first ran for president. I think the education in this country would be up to standards with the rest of the world if that happened. Our public high schools are some of the lowest quality in the world, while the private ones are pretty much equal to those in Japan, India, etc. My grandfather went to a very well-known prep school, where three of his fellow classmates went to Harvard (alongside him), 2 went to Princeton, 2 went to Dartmouth, one went to Brown, etc. Kids behaved themselves there, and if they didn't, they would be severely disciplined, the private school way. Crappy parents did not run the system then, and they shouldn't now.  more
