Certificate In Education Questions and Answers

Open Question: How to get a job in a hospital?

In February I'm starting a program for sonography. I know some hospitals will help pay for the education if you work there and sign a contract saying you'll work for them for x amount of years after getting your degree. So in December I'm going to start looking for a job in a hospital, I just don't know what exists out there that don't already require a degree or certificate. My friend said, "orderly (patient care assistant) but it seems you still have to complete a program for that. I'm just trying to scope out my options. I currently work at a daycare and I know they won't be flexible when it comes to me going to school in February. Any advice from anyone in the medical field?  more

Open Question: Why does Obama spend so much money "hiding" his past?

It's a simple FACT,.... we know less about President Obama than perhaps any other president in American history, and much of this is due to actual efforts to hide his record! Researchers have discovered that Obama’s autobiographical books are little more than PR stunts, as they have little to do with the actual events of his life. A nation-wide network of researchers has sprung up to attempt to fill in the blanks, but at every opportunity Obama’s high-priced lawyers have built walls around various records or simply made them disappear. It is estimated that Obama’s legal team has now spent well over $1.4 million dollars blocking access to documents every American should have access to. The question is why would he spend so much money to do this? The president who campaigned for a more “open government” and “full disclosure” will not unseal his medical records, his school records, his birth records or his passport records. He will not release his Harvard records, his Columbia College records, or his Occidental College records!!!! He will not even release his Columbia College thesis!!! All his legislative records from the Illinois State Senate are missing!.. and he claims his scheduling records during those State Senate years are lost as well! In addition, no one can find his school records for the elite K-12 college prep school, Punahou School, he attended in Hawaii.....lost,.....FOREVER! What is he hiding?...............HELLLLOOOOO.....? Over 49 separate law suits have been filed on the eligibility/birth certificate issue alone, with several of the suits making it all the way the United States Supreme Court, only to be denied a full hearing! What's going on here? Doesn't ANYONE find this just a wee bit,..just a tiny bit suspicious? ANYONE? What’s more, there are questions about how he paid for his Harvard Law School education since, despite a claim by Michele Obama, no one has produced any evidence that he received student loans. The Obamas will not release any student loan details despite repeated requests from the Chicago Tribune. However, it appears that his Harvard education may have been paid for by a foreign source. Khalid Al-Mansour, an adviser to Saudi prince Al-Walid bin Talah, told Manhattan Borough president, Percy Sutton, that he was raising money for Obama’s Harvard tuition. But hold on a minute,...why would an adviser to a Royal Price want to pay for that? Eh? More recently, it was discovered that Obama’s Selective Service card may have been doctored. Federal law requires all American males to register for the Selective Service (the draft) in case a major war broke out. Blogger Debbie Schlussel has discovered solid evidence that Obama’s Selective Service registration form was submitted not when he was younger as required, but rather in 2008 and then altered to look older. Indeed, the forgers forgot to alter the “Document Location Number” which shows that it is clearly a 2008 form. http://www.debbieschlussel.com/4428/exclusive-did-next-commander-in-chief-falsify-selective-service-registration-never-actually-register-obamas-draft-registration-raises-serious-questions/ Again,...why, why, why? Is IT REALLY ONE BIG GIGANTIC COINCIDENCE that every single document which contains information about his birth or citizenship is either missing, sealed, or has been altered? Really,...one big huge coincidence? Indeed, everywhere one looks into Obama’s background, we find sealed records, scrubbed websites, altered documents, deception and unanswered questions. Can anyone imagine for a second if John McCain or George Bush had blocked access to his school, medical, and birth records? It would have been headlines but as with everything else concerning Obama, the media has given him a pass on this. Of all these marvels, the latest mystery and probably most perplexing is that of Obama’s social security number. It appears that Obama has multiple identities in term of possessing numerous social security numbers. The lack of documents regarding Obama also extends to his mother and to his grandparents. Indeed, researchers have been unable to find marriage licenses for his mother’s two marriages, assuming she was ever legally married. Even more so, despite Obama’s boast of his grandfather’s military service, there’s no record of that either. For reasons no one knows, much of Obama’s life, his mother’s life and his grandparent’s life has been erased from the records as if they never existed. And before any name calling starts, I am NOT a member of the "Birthers" club or whatever you may wish to accuse me of,... I couldn't care less who Americans vote to be the President. I am very curious however about all this "Hiding" of Obama's past. Curiouser and curiouser.....hmmmm All thoughts welcome.  more

Open Question: I'm looking at Cornell, Brown, and Yale. Advice?

I'm a sophomore in high school and meticulously planning my future. I'm becoming very interested in what I'm going to do after high school--where I'm going to attend college, what job I'm going to hold, and what I can do to make sure I get into a good school. I'd like to go to school in New England, or somewhere on the East Coast, because I've been trapped in Southern California my entire life and I want a new experience. I've been reviewing colleges, and I recently found out that I have a shot at attending an Ivy League college. I'm not sure how true that is--I have a 3.6 GPA (but I'm going to be working on that a lot this year), am part of many extracurricular activities (marching band, winter drumline, drama club, a book club I founded, volunteer work at the library, Young Democrats, the animal rights club, and two writing clubs), and am an IB certificate candidate. I'm not sure if I have a good chance of attending a school like Cornell, Brown or Yale. I've always wanted to go, but finances and GPA have always held me back. I really like the idea of going to a school like that, for the educational quality and location. I would really like to go, and this year, I've already become very serious about my education. Is there anything I should be doing this year to prepare myself? Thank you. I was also going to join Academic Decathlon.  more

Open Question: What can I do with a bachelors in childhood education (grades 1-6) and a masters in literacy (birth-6)?

I only have a year of teaching experience but unfortunately have been out of that work field for over a year. I have a teacher certificate in NY, VA, and now IL but no one is hiring teachers in Illinois. I'm worried no one will ever hire me as my actual work experience is not strong.  more

Open Question: Does it require GRE test for diploma and certificate programs?

I'll receive my B.S in Biotechnology in less than a year, and since I don't think about doing masters or PhD afterward I'm not going to study for GRE. I thought about supporting my education with certificates instead but I'm not sure if it requires GRE or not. And if it does require is it only sometimes or to almost all programs like in case of Msc and PhD? I'm clueless about all that as I'm not a US citizen so any help is appreciated! Thanks a lot :)  more

Resolved Question: I need some serious help please!!! What do you think?

My hours were cut from one of my jobs so I applied for another one. I really want the one I applied for and think it would be a better fit for me. I am working towards my Master's in Education and a graduate teaching certificate in chemistry/unified science. Well anyway, for the app I had to write a brief essay while I was there and give them a copy of my transcripts. I went back to check in with them at the office and had an interview on the spot. Both people said they were very impressed with my essay and grades (I don't think my grades are that good so I'm not sure who was applying.) I only told them about the job I plan on keeping because I was just going to quit the other job. Well, both jobs are at my school and they were listed so they so both. I explained one of the cut my job down to only 4 hours due to funding issues and had planned on quitting that one if I found something else. I also told them I made my own schedule at the other job (my work study) and could reduce my hours. I really want this job! She thought because I am working on my master's that I had already done student teaching. I am not sure why she thought this; she has a copy of my transcripts. She said before I quit anything or reduce my hours she wants me to observe the classroom first, and she'll call me with a site to observe. She said she wants me to see what it's really like before I commit because she had one student go through all the training, get the kids hopes up, and quit.  more

Voting Question: Is the Global College of Natural Medicine Legit?

I want to open up my own natural healing center one day, and am looking to get certification in various aspects of healing. The Global College of Medicine offers classes to gain a master herbology certificate. Is this legitimate? Their website, http://www.gcnm.com/ has an "accredidation" page. It said the institution has received approval to operate from the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Also, it says GCNM and/or faculty members are professional members of the following associations: - American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) - American Naturopathic Medical Association (ANMA) - American Holistic Health Association (AHHA) - American Holistic Nurses’ Association (AHNA) - Health Action Network Society(HANS) - The International Herb Association (IHA) I was wondering if this is legitimate. Would this certificate be taken seriously? it is an online class and can be completed at my own pace as long as I complete it in 12 months. The certificate costs about $2,000. Also, do you have any suggestions for legitimate alternative healing schools or programs? Thanks! EDIT: I cannot find many "proper universities" that teach natural healing techniques. I am sure they are out there- please reccommed some :)  more

Voting Question: Do I need a European Baccalaureate to get into a European University?

I would like to know what exact secondary education is needed for admission to a European University? In Europe the students write write something called a Baccalaureate at the end of their Secondary education. In France it is called Baccalaureat, in Spain the Bachillerato, and in Italy it's known as Maturita. Basically Europeans need these to be admitted to University. I'm from South Africa and I have finished my Secondary education here. In the final year/ grade 12 of school in South Africa we write something called Matric Exams, and if you meet the minimum requirements you are given a Matric Exemption, which gives you admission to study at university in South Africa. I have met these requirements, although I would like to go to university in Europe. I have an EU Passport, so this is not a problem. So I would like to find out whether my high school certificate is recognized and of a good enough level to get into University in Europe? Hopefully my high school certificate is recognized so that I don't need to get any further education to get into university in Europe. Please if you have any knowledge on these matters can you please clarify my understanding of this all? All helpful comments are greatly appreciated Thanks  more

Resolved Question: Can you have a PhD in banking?

Hello, I am wondering if you can get a Master's or PhD Degree in Banking. Several pamphlets I saw listed Banking as a professional program so I don't know what kind of diploma you will get in the program, whether it is a higher education degree, or some sort of certificate. Is it highly dependent on what school you go to? Thank you Well, I just learned that there is a BBA or BS in Banking as well. I'd always thought that's a separate degree, like a Master's in Banking, which now sounds ridiculous to me. Honestly, I don't know much about higher education.  more

Resolved Question: why does the school need a birth certificate?

My child is in the 8th grade and the school asked for a copy of his birth certificate. I called and asked why and the lady requesting it said she did not know why but since she has been there, they require them. I have 4 children...2 being older and never has the grade school, middle school, or high school ever asked for any of their birth certificates. She later emailed me stating she called the dept of education and was told if documentation was not provided they contact missing & exploited children's bureau. I don't believe that is the reason because someone who was in that situation would produce a fake. I do not feel comfortable for my child's birth certificate floating around a school with anyone and everyone being able to gain access to it. Am I required to give the school his birth certificate?  more

Resolved Question: How do I get teaching experience in History?

I live in England, and I'm in my second year of university studying history (not a specific type, I have classes spanning a number of periods). I've been researching the Student Association Scheme, but it no longer has places for History students (only Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and ICT I think). I actually did take lots of Math classes and an ICT as part of my International Baccalaureate programme, but I highly doubt that I would be able to get a place on the scheme with classes I took 3 years ago. I've read up a little on getting a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and I do know that you have to have some (a little more than some) experience in a classroom environment. I just don't know how to go about doing that. The whole thing is very confusing to me. I almost feel like if I want to go into teaching History, the government couldn't care less about me, as if I would be of lower value to society teaching history. I'm thinking of teaching at secondary level, and I'm considering studying towards a Ph.D. and then teaching at a higher level. Obviously that's way ahead in the future, but I figured it might help if someone is kind enough to give me advice about this, and it is something with which they have had experience.  more

Resolved Question: Who is the Master of Credential Falsification Scandal , Mr. Tang Jun or Ms.Cecilia Lee , HOK Beijing Office?

"Tang Jun, the president and CEO of Xinhaudu Groups, Prominent Former Microsoft Corp, also known as Employee Emperor in China, got trapped into a credit crisis by allegedly fabricating his Educational certificate, which instigates a fierce debate and reflection over the so-called social elites’ career credit among the Chinese". Just like in the case of Tang Jun, the former President of Microsoft’s China operation, who seemed to embody the ideal of a successful, globally minded Chinese businessman, Cecilia Lee the Marketing Director of HOK operation in Beijing, China since 2005 titans academic achievements were significantly embellished However, unlike in the case of Tang Jun, which at least he obtained a real Master Degree, Cecelia Lee has graduated from NO university in the Western Hemisphere and possesses no degree in economics, finance, and architecture or in law as she claims. Her claims of fame of earning dual Master’s Degrees, one of which, she obtained from Thunderbird School of Global Management, a private business school in the United States, and the first and oldest graduate school specializing in international management and global business and the second Master Degree from Arizona State University are fraudulent and fabricated at best. In response to subpoenas court order probing into her education background of Cecilia Lee that was issue by Thunderbird School of Global Management in July 10, 2008, Thunderbird represented that once upon a time in America Cecilia Lee has taken total of 15 curses of prerequisite-classes and the total number credit collected disqualifying her from graduation; Furthermore, in response to subpoenas court order probing into her education background of Cecilia Lee that was issue by Arizona State University on July 11, 2008 indicating that once upon a time in America Cecilia Lee has taken total of 3 curses of prerequisite-classes for Master Degree Cecilia Lee: A daughter of Chinese Scholars Committing Academic Fraud Known to the Western World as Cecilia Lee was born in the Northern part of China in 1969 under the name Xiaoxi Li. Ironically, Cecilia Lee was born to well educated family and she grow up in Beijing Jiaotong University, where her father Professor Li Gen Cheng is teaching civil infrastructure and her mother Professor Cheng Gui Hua teaching architecture according to Cecilia. Cecilia Lee got married at least twice and divorced twice. Cecelia Lee claims to be graduated student with Highway Engineering Degree from Tongji University in Shanghai, China. However, her Diploma submitted to Thunderbird is demonstrating that she has graduated from the Foreign Language Institute in Beijing. Cecilia Lee for the past 5 and a half years has obtained numerous recognitions for her fabricated accomplishments including the recognition for Women in Business in China, which aims at empowering and recognizing women for their business successes and has been participating in national forums and in other public events on behalf of HOK introducing her fraudulent background  more

Resolved Question: TESOL/TEFL Certificates? How do you know what school is reliable?

Hi there, I am looking at doing a TESOL/TEFL certificate so that I can spend a year or two teaching English after I graduate university before going on to further studies.I have heard that a lot of the schools offering these qualifications are not very good and just there to make money without providing much of an education. I want to get a decent amount of training, especially considering the cost, but I have no idea how I should go about picking a school? If I contact the school, obviously they are going to tell me that they're the best. I have tried to email some of the programs I've been looking at applying for in the hope they might have some suggestions, but mostly the reply I get is "Having an TESOL certificate is important..." etc etc etc... So does any one have any advice? Does any one know which schools might be good and which might be bad? Also, which certificate is the best? There are Diplomas, Cert IV etc...I get really confused about which is the most suitable. Thanks!!  more

Resolved Question: I beleive I was incorrectly placed in Special Ed?

was in special Ed from 4th grade to 8th grade. Then I was placed into a remedial program in high school, in my opinion, seemed like a joke. What lead me to that conclusion was... In elementary school, I observed I was the only one who didn't need my hand held and led to my porch when I was dropped off from my bus. Also, I was the only one in class who knew my important info, ie: address, phone, contact, you name it. All the other kids could not verify their info. The others couldn't even recollect what day of the week it was. Me on the other hand, knew all of that. I always had a urge to learn more for my own benefit, this urge was not fulfilled due to me getting work 3 grades below my curriculum. Just to give you an idea, I was taught addition and subtraction in 5th grade, then multiplication is 6th! I couldn't understand really why I was in that class. Another puzzling concept was that, other kids needed to be monitored and sometimes restrained. I simply sat at my desk and completed my work and turned it in no questions asked. I always was on the honor roll. I remember on a warm fall day, I sat underneath our tree at my house, I ripped up a honor roll certificate because was work was so easy I didn't even feel it was worth displaying. In Junior high, I was harassed very badly, by my peers in the regular education. They retorted at me by calling me ugly and a retard, or other ridicules fictious names at me. I didn't even learn challenging things. I requested to be put into a english class so I can have assisgnments to stimulate my mind and learn. These girls would make my life a living hell. I would go home and eat to rid the pain, which made me gain weight so the taunts would increase. also, I was on prednisone, steriods that make you gain weight, because I was so upset with the bullying I would have asthma issues all the time. High school comes around, I liked it very much. I came home with homework, I liked that I was learning pre algebra. But since I was in the SEDOM program. I had to be placed in the remedial program. This angered me quite a bit. We had to read these books and write reports on them. No prob, the thing was though, it was books for kids in a fifth grade level. While it took others in this class to read these on a 2 week level. I read it in a hour. I even completed the report in five minutes. After putting up with this for almost 6 years, I started rebelling and lashing out. I found a outlet...I went to the guidance counsler and kindly told her I love to write and I want a challenging class that supports creativity, such as free writing 101. The counsel took pity on me and placed me there. I am proud to say that I excelled greatly. An A+ after another, Ms. Burns told me I had great potential. Unfortunately, after I was a junior, I took to many english classed and no longer needed to complete that requirment. Unfortunently, the lashing out outlet? Half of my reports in free writing. My english class assignments consisted of my slander of special ed and the remedial program and how they mis diagnose students when it comes to the requirement to be in this program. On my graduation day. I wasn't proud at all. I felt like this completion of honor was a joke. For I feel like this was no challenge completing my work. I feel I have not developed the capabilities on learning and absorbing info due to not having a challenge ever! Everyone smiled as they looked into their diplomas, the outline of the school was etched into gold, I looked at mine, it was in copy inK! They decided to keep mine and give me a copy! WHY?! I am hopin if you did teach or are currantly/planning to teach this unique education, please do so with tight observations for students like me who wanted to strive above and beyond. What scares me is, I never had the opportunity. I could go to college, but my SAT scored plummented because I didn't know anything on those tests. I feel inadequate everyday when I try to learn. I want to get into what my Dad does, HV AC. But I feel I do not know the basics to even do this. I am not for suing, but I want money to get the education I missed out. Startting with a basic GED. I know I passed HS, but it's ruining my confindence, and I can't even socialize normally because I never really had "normal friends". Can anyone tell me if I can get even somehow? Thanks, Even a pity answer works out to. lol lol. I am aware believe was spelled wrong. It's very late, 2 am actually!  more

Voting Question: Web Designer wants to do Video Editing?

Hello! I currently have an Associates Degree for Digital Multimedia. I have been working as a web designer/developer for the past 4 years. However, I am sick and tired of the coding world, and would like to do more video or motion graphics based work. I would like to pursue a career in Video Post Production doing video editing or making computer generated special effects or just making video presentations. What are my next steps? Should I just work for a company as an intern for their post production department? Or should I go back to school and take courses and earn a certificate for Video Post Production? Which is more important - education or experience, and if experience, how can I obtain it without having to go back to school? I am a single mom with a full time job and a mortgage to pay, so I cannot afford going for a Bachelors at this time. Any input is appreciated. Thank you!  more

Resolved Question: The best online school for Graphic design?

I'm still currently in school going for my Multimedia and Photography degrees, along with a few certificates, but would like to take Graphic Design from a school online. My current school offers the Visual Communication courses and degree, however, their graduation requirements continually change and try to make me take classes I don't need at all. Plus to take Visual Communication I have to go by a whole other general education plan and add more science classes which I think is a load of BS! I was thinking Penn Foster State since it's a whole school just online and you can work at your own pace. But I'm still debating on whether or not to attend Penn Foster State. However, it seems more affordable than most colleges out there right now. Any ideas? Penn Foster is a career school but it offers Graphic Design as an A.A degree. So anyone could get either a certificate or a degree. But they seem to be cheaper.  more

Resolved Question: What is a paper license in Virginia?

I got my permit on 2/16/2010, so I will be getting my license in November of this year. I have already taken the drivers education class in school and passed, and have taken a "behind the wheel" driving course (EZ Driving School) and at the end of that course they gave me a blue paper that says, Virginia Driver Training Certificate at the top. My friends all drive with theirs and say it is a "paper license"? So if I have this paper with me does that mean I can legally drive by myself? It also says "When accompanied by a valid learners permit, this certificate is a valid driver's license pursuant to Virginia code 46.2-335. This certificate expires 180 days from the Eligibility Date shown below." The eligibility date is 11/16/2010. Can anyone please tell me what this means?  more

Resolved Question: If I retake high school courses, can I still get into Ivy League schools?

This might be really long so if you'd rather answer the main question, please do so :) Alright, so about 2 years ago I was admitted into a British school system (they have 13 grades and the grade 10 and 11 are known as GCSE years). Halfway through grade 11 my family and I moved to Canada and I was admitted into grade 11 in the Canadian school system. I had not been informed that the Canadian school system only had 12 grades and the school councilors did not seem to know much of the education system from Britain. My predicted GCSE grades ranged from A's to A stars. Once I was in grade 11 in Canada, I realized that I was actually a grade ahead of what I should be (does this make sense? what I mean is that I was in grade 11 in Britain, but in Canada I should have been in grade 10). However, it was too late for me to start over the year and the school advisers kept telling me that I was doing fine (but I wasn't). My average dropped from 95% to 70%. And even though I kept going, the average never jumped up. I recently graduated from high school at the age of 17 (when majority of the students graduate at 18). And my GPA was about 2.8 - 3.0 which is not nearly high enough to get into an Ivy League school, let alone Oxford or Cambridge which were my dream schools. I have been thinking a lot about retaking my grade 12 year and possibly completing the IB diploma (as I did partial certificate IB in grade 11) so that maybe next Fall I can apply to Ivy schools. I have thought about transferring after first year at university however GPA's must be extremely high and I feel that it is much easier to simply retake a high school year. Question: Do you think that retaking high school courses will make Ivy schools think that I was a failure once they get a glimpse of my initial schools grades? Do you know if some Ivy schools do not accept students who have retaken high school courses if they couldn't achieve the appropriate marks the first time around?  more

Anyways I would go to a lawyer but I don't know if I will get in legal trouble for being illegitimate though I don't think they can deport me since I was born in Canada, what do I do? Stoner_girl is not my real name and I am not the president of the United States I am an unemployed Canadian. yes I know how to read and write, I spent a large portion of my life at libraries I enjoy reading and my mother taught me to read, she had a 1976 world encyclopedia set and I read the entire thing when between the ages of 6-7. Resolved Question: What Encourages Cecilia Lee, HOK International (Beijing) Ltd to become more dauntless to fabricate credential?

Cecilia Lee ( Chiense name Li Xiaoxi), Director of Business Development at HOK International (Beijing) Ltd, which has been disclosed with official evidence that her titan’s academic achievements were significantly embellished, However, the fact that Cecilia Lee ( LI Xiaoxi) falsifies her credentials doesn’t seem to concern HOK legal department and President, Ms. Cecilia Lee continues to Commit Academic Fraud and cheat on the clients and the public with her fraud bio online that she has obtained two Master degrees and Bachelor degree from Tongji University. Tang Jun, the president and CEO of Xinhaudu Groups, Prominent Former Microsoft Corp, also known as Employee Emperor in China, got trapped into a credit crisis by allegedly fabricating his Educational certificate. Tang Jun’s case already catalyzed as worldwide discussion on the place of integrity in China society, and also urges either the domestic or the international firms to have the responsibilities to avoid their employees with fraud education. HOK is the global architectural firm that has developed into one of the world’s largest. HOK employs more than 2,000 professionals linked across a global network of 23 offices on four continents. Over at HOK.com you will find plenty of gorgeous images showcasing of the creative work that HOK’s employees has created for their clients that are spread all over the world. Unfortunately, Cecilia Lee, Director of Business Development at HOK International (Beijing) Ltd, the creativity is not limited to architecture, interiors, engineering, planning, but in the creation of fabricated work history and credentials; and to other fraud and corrupt practices. As we know, Cecelia Lee has graduated from NO university in the Western Hemisphere and possesses no degree in economics, finance, and architecture or in law as she claims. Furthermore, we also got the ground proof that Cecelia Lee fabricate her bachelor degree. In her online bio , she claims to be graduated student with Highway Engineering Degree from Tongji University in Shanghai. HOWEVER, her Diploma submitted to Thunderbird is demonstrating that she has graduated from the Foreign Language Institute in Beijing. In Cecilia Lee’s fraud case, which is substantially similar in nature to the fraud, which was committed by Tang Jun, the former President of Microsoft’s China operation. However, it is completely unique story, due to the fact that not like in the case of Microsoft or in the case Shanda, the most recent employer of Tang Jun, where both of the organizations claimed that they did not know about Tang Jun’ fraud. In the case of HOK which is the equivalent of Microsoft to the architecture, interiors, engineering, planning business know that their senior executive is committing fraud and misrepresentations online as well as in public forums and most importantly to their clients about who she is and what she has done in life as well as about her educational background and they have done not much if any to stop it, which encourages Cecilia Lee become more dauntless to embellish her credentials and working history with fraud. Governance is preached and breached at HOK. For the past 5 and a half years Cecilia Lee has obtained numerous recognitions for her fabricated accomplishments including the recognition for Women in Business in China, which aims at empowering and recognizing women for their business successes and has been participating in national forums and in other public events on behalf of HOK introducing her fraudulent credential background . Indeed, Cecilia Lee successes in her fraud, however, the fact is if HOK can be a little responsible for the clients, for the public and for the society; if Cecilia Lee’s falsification credential fraud did concern HOK, then Cecilia Lee will not have the opportunity to commit credential fraud. Cecilia Lee: A Daughter of Chinese Scholars Committing Academic Fraud Known to the Western World as Cecilia Lee was born in the Northern part of China in 1969 under the name Xiaoxi Li. Ironically, Cecilia Lee was born to well educated family and she grow up in Beijing Jiaotong University, where her father Professor Li Gen Cheng is teaching civil infrastructure and her mother Professor Cheng Gui Hua teaching architecture according to Ms Cecilia Lee. However, We will challenge with Ms. Cecilia Lee, if Ms. Cecilia Lee’s parents are famous professors working in Beijing Jiaotong University as she claims, how can an educated couple permit their daughter to commit the fraud? Ms. Cecilia Lee got married at least twice and divorced twice.  more

Resolved Question: What is the best program to go through if I want to become a teacher after a non education bachelors degree.?

I finally realized after moving to NYC to chase an oh so unrealistic fashion career and investing over 60k in a stupid fashion school that I love working with children, always have and would like to become an elementary school teacher. I have a bachelors degree in fashion merchandising already, but I'd like to get some advice on where to go next as far as furthering my education. I did some research and found that there is an alternative teaching certificate program that exists. I am willing to go back to school, and want to go through the best program. I have so much debt from my first degree, and haven't even been able to capitalize on it, so I really want to make the right decision when going back to school. Please send your thoughts, experiences, and advice on what to do. I want to make a difference in children's lives, and be the teacher every kid goes home and actually tells their parents about. I know this is my calling and will be a satisfying career for me because i will be giving back to the community educating a new generation of amazing young minds. :)  more

Resolved Question: Teaching...is it really worth it?

I am currently in school for my Liberal Arts degree so I can transfer to a 4 year for my teaching certificate or atleast that is the plan. The problem is that I keep reading so many things about teachers losing thier jobs and not having job availability. To give you some background I was a high school drop out who got married young, I felt like at the time that was the best decision for me. I also had a job to help support my family. The whole time I was in school I felt like not one teacher, not anyone at my school cared about me or my future. Now as an adult I have come to realize what education can be and it's importance in life. I want to become a teacher to help kids lean that the same applies to them. I came from a family of 6 kids, none of them graduated, niether did my parents. This is a big reason why I want to go into teaching. So what are some of the opinions?  more

Voting Question: Returning to college for second bachelors degree in education?

I have a BA in political science and about three years of experience teaching English overseas for private language schools as well as college preparatory programs. I have a one-month TEFL certificate also. I'd like to develop more detailed knowledge of education and also have work options if I choose to stay in the US for a long time again. I also don't want to make myself overqualified. I'm really not prepared for graduate study as I have a low GPA and lack of background in teaching. With these facts in mind, I have decided to consider pursuing a second bachelor's degree in secondary education. Has anyone else done something like this? The degree would qualify me to teach in US high schools and also enable me to obtain better teaching positions in international schools overseas once I have experience stateside. I would also still be able to go back to my previous workplaces. I like how the degree immediately suggests a set path of employment compared to what I did before. tyia I do have above a 3.0 gpa. I'm NOT interested in graduate school at this time, and probably ever. Thanks for your advice about the situation on the ground, though. I have a decent job as things stand so I should probably stay put. Yes, Donald, the degree includes certification.  more
