Resolved Question: Did your family spend vacations together?
Even though we weren't very well off, my dad usually managed to take all of us on a week long vacation every summer, although with six children it couldn't have been much of a vacation for my mother, ha ha. We pretty much stayed in our home state of Michigan, but would rent a cabin "up north" on a lake, Houghton Lake or Torch Lake, and we had fun fishing and swimming. Sometimes we'd take a cousin with us, someone we didn't get to see all the time. Once we traveled through the Upper Peninsula, through to Canada at Sault Ste. Marie, and traveled back south through Ontario. What memories do you have of vacations with your family? Ok I have 2 questions I cant obviously leave my two guinea pigs at home in winter to go on vacation in mexico for a week so does anybody know where is a pet day care in or something Toronto, Ontario, Canada or better yet one in Richmond hill, Toronto, Ontario,Canada or something that will take care of them I also need a pet day care for my fish too thanks and my other question is will guinea pigs be happier and safer in the wild or in my home safe and sound in there cage because my dad says he fells sorry for them and wants to let them go in the wild but me and my mom wont let that happen. I'm currently trying to plan a vacation to Vermillion Bay area for this May-June-ish. Its a trip for me and five other girl friends. We chose this area because we love fishing, boating, canoeing, water skiing etc. I visited this area when I was younger and it was incredibly beautiful. We want to do this area because we are all sorority girls but aren't the ones that want to go lie on a beach somewhere for the summer. Just do something different. Can someone point me in the right direction on where to find resorts that have cottages/cabins that could provide us with the things listed above. I was on Cedar Lake when I was little but its primarily muskie fishing. It doesn't nessessarily have to be Vermillion bay but we'd like to keep it in that area since we are driving from Chicago-area and don't want to drive much father north.
